I did an update last night on the non beta script. It should work now, but I'm not sure about the restrict by value. That might be broken still. The problem was caused by the new own goal stat. I hope to get the beta version working tonight, then make them work in Chrome as that is now my browser of choice. The link to the new script is in the first post which I'll update sometime this week.

Couple of things that need fixing:

1. The script doesn't work properly on historical GW score pages. You can fix this yourself by right-clicking the GM icon, "Manage User Scripts", click on Razza's one in the left hand pane, click on "http://fantasy.premierleague.com/M/latest.mc" in the right-hand pane, click "Edit" and simply add an asterisk (*) to make "http://fantasy.premierleague.com/M/latest.mc*".

2. In the player pop-up info box, the Home and Away sections need an Own Goals column added. I assume this is also the reason that the PPG for home and away is messed up.

I've just updated the NON beta script to correct the problems flying killer cop mentioned, and also it should work in chrome too now! Bit of a marathon trying to get it working in chrome. If anyone is interested in why have a look at the first 70 or so lines of the script :-).

The beta version still has stuff I'm working on and needs porting across to the main version so it doesn't have the fixes from above, and also doesn't work in chrome.

To install on chrome you don't need to install greasemonkey as chrome has it built in (sort of). Just click the link to the main script http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/34047 and then click on install and follow the instructions.

I know I don't update, or log in as much as you might like, but still, let me know if there are any problems and I'll get around to it at some point - Cheers

Nice work Razza :D

Got another couple of minor things to request though (forgot to include them in my last post).

Tickboxes for "Show extra player info" and "Show extra team info":

When the "player" one is unticked, it doesn't actually remove the extra info. When it is re-ticked, it adds the info in again, and again every time you untick and re-tick the box, leading to comedy results -
edit: this only happens on the My Team page. The extra player info works fine on the transfers page.
Image

The "team" one doesn't display anything on initial page load when ticked. This can be rectified by unticking and re-ticking. It doesn't repeat itself like the "player" one though.

Also, I seem to remember that a previous version of the script had an option to permanently turn these off, which was accessed by right-clicking the GM icon and selecting "User Script Commands", but that's greyed out now.

I guess this is now dead in the water and will need to be recoded from the ground up, if indeed it can be recoded at all

For me, the most useful parts were the addition of the "My Team" option to the drop-down menu on the Transfers page, and the amalgamated and extended info in the player pop-up windows, including the Home and Away PPG stat.

I'll "unsticky" this thread for now.

Hopefully razzatheking will be back at some point in the new season with a new version. I certainly found the old one very useful in the past.

I'm working on a new version now. The site has changed quite substantially visually, but the change behind the scenes is even bigger so you can appreciate that it will take some time to get this working again. I've got an initial version that sorts out the player info window, and optionally saves your user credentials to make login much easier (am I the only person to find this a HUGE problem with the new site?). [Edit - This only appears to be a problem in Google Chrome]

I hope to get most of the other functionality in within the next week, and also some stuff I was testing last season (it was hidden) that I think people will like. This should work on both firefox, and chrome. It will also probably work in opera too if anyone uses that?

I've not spent much time on the site yet as I've been trying to get this working again as it will help me choose my team, so if anyone has any suggestions for extra functionality please let me know.

First cut can be found here

http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/34047

It is only tested in Chrome, so it may not work at all in FF or opera currently.

Info on what should be working is also to be found at that link.

I found the problem on firefox, and it's fairly simple to see why it's not doing anything, but I've got another problem in firefox. I hope to fix that tonight and get more functionality in. I'll drop another release later tonight.

Thanks for the feedback so far everyone. I suppose until the season starts proper I can't get it fully working as some of the data isn't there to test with yet, but I hope to get most of it working by Saturday (my family is away this week, so that's why I have time to look at it). I hope to get the meat of my team done by then too

Time gets tight again when they return!!

great stuff, thanks.

not being a chrome user, does it have a one click control for greasemoney? one of the things I like on FF is switching it on/off with the monkey icon. having to go through tools > extensions menu seemes a bit of a faff.

Chrome doesn't have the ability to turn scripts on and off with one click, you do have to go to the extensions page as you suggest.

I've uploaded a new version and it now works in firefox and opera. Let me know if you have further problems.... I'll keep adding new functionality and update the script over the coming days.

Wow, this is proving more difficult than I had originally thought. I'm not sure if they've done it on purpose, but it is much more difficult to code for now. I have however had a major breakthrough this morning, and now I can add additional statistics to players so they can be sorted. I've uploaded a new script and it has RazzaRating back in again for sorting players on. It also has a test statistic 'Last Seasons Points [Adjusted]' which is only there for testing and will go shortly. I hope to have 'My Team' available again shortly, and a few other treats.

bug report (i think). on booting up FF, the remember current details doesn't show for the login. If I F5 the page it appears but obviously does it the next time as well and so doesn't auto load the login.

Help required for fantasy football addict / technical novice / greasemonkey virgin

In a last gap bid to get one up on the rest of my league i found your thread and have to the best of my ability installed greasemonkey and added the extensions with a degree of success as far as i can see. However nothing has changed on the FPL site that i can tell.

On the FPL page in Firefox i have the wee monkey on the top right and if i click on the arrow it tells me that it's running Razzas Fantasy Premier league script.

Any ideas gents? I'm sure this is something stupidly simple and i am close but i can't figure it out.

Good job again on this script razza - I have tweaked and packed an extension for Opera that is now finally published live here
Code:
- added some more @include's to prevent it running on entire site
- removed 'save credentials' code (Opera has pw manager)
- removed FF / Chrome code to fire script. added DOMContentLoaded event

- The mod on there made me aware that the script fails on http://fantasy.premierleague.com/squad-selection/ when signing up because the team is completely empty ;) requestExtraPlayerInfo -but I guess users who install this already have a team registered..
- Extension is currently on your Aug 3 version, I will try to update it as you go along.

@H1P5TA you can try the version labeled Aug 3, 2011 22:23 and see if that works

Changed to try it on work laptop and i can't get the script to install on firefox but it does install on chrome. However still no change to the FPL site.

The version is showing as Aug 5, 2011 here - http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/34047 - and that works for me like i say. When i look in chrome extensions it is showing (have tried with 'allow in incognito' on and off because i wasn't sure what that changed exactly.

Not sure what else i can try here to figure out what i'm doing wrong. :?
