Only spotted this competition belatedly and will be setting up a team during today which I trust I can still add to the Fiso league despite the competition having now started.

Meanwhile, on studying the site this morning I am fairly sure I have spotted discrepancies with the points awarded from the weekend's games. I believe the midfielders playing with teams that kept a clean sheet have been allocated with points that should by the stated scoring rules only be awarded to goalkeepers and defenders.

Has anyone else spotted this? I have contacted 'elephant' about this but so far there has been no response.

to be honest the scores up on the site before saturday (so for 2009) in the stats-player data looked very iffy and didn't tally - people had more/less ponts than the system seemed to allow for, even if they only played one game all season.

When I log in and check my team individual points ......
I see that david silva got me 1pt but in the playerlist (off main website menu)
he's down as 5pts (so I see what you mean).

I just tested out the transfer screen and D silva is down there as 5pts too.
Weird then.


On a slightly worrying (or very prescient) other matter, as I logged in it told me Drogba was my best performing player (go figure) and that ROONEY was my worst player of the week and that I should consider transferring him out.

I entered a team belatedly yesterday and would like to enter it in the Fiso mini-league if that is still okay now the season has started.

Mind you I will have to wait until the site is back up anyway before entering into the m/l as the site has been down this morning for 'essential maintenance'. Maybe it's to correct the situation where certain midfielders had received points for their teams keeping clean sheets, contradictory to the stated scoring rules.

There are still 7 teams pending who haven't been declared on the thread. I will be accepting teams into the league until the transfer window closes, after that there will be no more entries accepted. So if you have a team entered and wish to enter the league, you have 10 days left to do so.

Art Vandelay's answered your question mikro_87,but in case there's any language problem,my query was due to the fact that this is a single entry competition and you appeared to be speaking on behalf of 2 entries.

You mentioned the names of 2 teams, both of which appeared on the Fiso league pending list under different owner's names.

Until now,neither of these 2 teams appeared to belong to Fiso members,and the Fiso league is exclusively for Fiso members.

Now you have joined Fiso,(welcome ) and so the team belonging to you is valid for admission to the league - which one is it ?

However,you cannot expect the other team belonging to someone else who may not be a member of Fiso to be admitted just because you've joined !

If the other person is a friend of yours but not a member of Fiso,he should apply for membership but whether his application would be processed in time to meet Tuesday's league entrance deadline is questionable. He could try though,by acting quickly.

Ah I see. I didn't notice any restrictions with regard to fiso membership in this thread so I thought I'd be saving my friend the bother of registering by offering to add his team here myself. He took some serious convincing to even join a league at all so there's no way I'd get him to register here also. I guess I'm playing on my own then....

1. It's not necessary to repeat the whole of the post to which you are replying by pressing the "quote" button,just use "reply" - this saves trees

2. You evidently did not read the very first post on this thread then,which explained that to join the Fiso league,you needed to enter your team here ?

All Fiso minileagues -whether or not there are prizes - are established exclusively for members of Fiso to compete against each other.

3. In the first post attention was also drawn to the fact that this Elephant competition is only open to residents of the UK ?
