Of course.

Is White Palace on soon?

White Palace is on now (10pm)........... it's on TG4 :?

I have to watch the ITV channels and BBC3/4 via the 'other' channels option. I wonder if you can you get the Irish channels that way?

OK, slightly out of order but I've now seen 3:10 to Yuma and The Invasion. The first was good but focused more on the action than the tension than the original and hence wasn't as convincing (and the plot holes were more glaring). The second is not the remake I thought it was. I thought it was the one where the spaceship lands in the sandpit just outside of his garden rather than invasion of the body snatchers. Still watchable though (even if Miss Kidman's chest has more CGI thank Toy Story!).

I'll try and watch them in order from now on.

p.s. have you seen the new film Thirst from Mr Park. I saw the Blueray advertised on the TV the other day so I guess it's doing ok.

Bought the DVD earlier this year but haven't gotten around to watching as yet (I need to be in particular sort of mood to get the most out of Park's movies), generally the reviews have been good I think but I'll post my thoughts (probably on the BFMA thread (which is where I posted the trailer prior to it's cinematic release, not that anyone took an interest in it at that time    ) ) once I've watched it...

Unfortunately (for you  ) I will never ever post a picture of Susan Sarandon on this thread, there are a number of reasons for this but first & foremost it's because IMO she looks a lot like my mother   ...

P.S I think the movie you were thinking of was 'Invaders From Mars' which as far as I'm aware has only be remade once (not particularly well, by Tobe Hooper (director of the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre  )), as soon as it makes an appearance (which may be a while  ) I'll be sure to post it on this thread :D ...

Yeah, that was it! In my defence you can see where I went wrong - it's similar in name and story. I must have been very young when I watched that as I can't imagine some kid saying "jee whiz" or very dodgy looking UFOs having any effect past 8 years or so. :P

If you don't fancy anything on offer tonight from Razorbacks' suggestions, may I offer 'The Woods', Channel 5, 11.05pm.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0380066/

Its sort of a cross between 'Evil Dead' and 'Mean Girls', but in a good way.......how could you resist?

I might just have to catch that again having just watched the trailer. I first watched it at the Homelands festival (now Creamfields) and I think I must have been wasted b/c I can barely remember it at all. I remember it being very good though. :P
