Who's Charlie Quarrell?
Just wondering as you have pending membership here and also to another league I'm in - without any known crossover

Take 'our' best 3 months such as Nigel's 2nd, Jimmy's 3rd and Graham's 4th and you'd be pretty close to 490. Got to be very fortunate to get each of these though

The long month and extra games have caused a change at the top with Paul Mc taking the lead and going 38th in the overall leaderboard. Very nice play 8-)

I am not too far behind though  (46th overall) and hoping for a good score in the final weekend of the phase. Indeed, I think I might get to the magic 490 points. It is a shame that the current leader will be over 500 points by then.

Still, he doesn't have Rooney so a 4 goal blitz on Saturday would be very welcome. :D 8-)

Good luck to all (and RB  ) in the games ahead.

Am up into top 100 overall, and down to 13th for the month - didn't join the fiso league for some reason at start of season, not sure why, but i know that for one of the leagues for fantasy league games it seemed that entry was being run far too officiously. Doesn't seem to have been this one looking back to start of thread though.

Drogba up front.

Nigel, yes, very tight at top of FISO Three months leadboard now:
You have 454 and I have 458.
My Arsenal defence may have killed my chances for the period (22nd) though.

Thanks once again Sam for updating the table for us all

A couple of questions for you all.

Is there any opinion about further late arrivals in the league?
If you recall, I initially set a deadline for entry which didn't go down too well so we scrapped that idea in August.
Then last week quizking posted asking to join. No-one commented or complained so I hit 'accept'

However I get the odd 'random' asking to join not having posted or pm'd. Typically I'll enquire on here. So for example at the moment Colin Hodgson would like to join. Does anyone know who Colin is? Colin, do you fancy making yourself known to us?
Anyone care if we let Colin in, likewise similar enquiries in future, would you like me to ask?

I'll go with the majority who have commented by the end of the weekend

Thanks

hi again - just a couple of thoughts;

I was a late entrant, but for reasons as given above (and still not sure, think it was for a different ofl game though).

It's not usually an issue where there is no prize for mini-league. Where there is, then of course, late-comers are seen as band-waggon joiners, and should not be encouraged. So for this game, i can't see a problem for anyone wanting to join - just for whoever is nominated to run the league, having the rigmarole of checking the list every now and then, can be a pain if there are lots to sort.

Most people aren't bothered anyway by this stage of the season, unless they have a vested interest - i.e. they have a chance of the main prize, or share of a league prize if there is one.

Ooh, and i've got form in this game (channel 4 as was) - it's one of my favourite formats; was in the lead at christmas a few years ago to win a trip to brazil (though only finished 31st overall) - and won a monthly prize last year, got upgraded to a trip to the chelsea/arsenal fa semi final at wembley, plus posh hotel in central london, nice. And £500 for the first month last season in the aol version of the game. Not had a bad start this month either, wahey.

Thanks also to sam for compiling the scores - you've certainly looked more deeply into it than i could have ever been bothered!

Tried but couldn't make transfer (to bring in Piquionne of Ports) as AOL site wouldn't load.

Hope others had better luck...

All OFL sites are dreadfully slow tonight.

AOL site seems OK tonight. Fortunately, the Piquionne failure yesterday didn't prove costly.

Have used final two transfers to bring in Nugent and Tuncay to join Etherington for Burnley v Stoke tonight.

Here's hoping for a goalfest.
