Does anyone know why FT has Rooney 64.7% on the way to a drop, while over here on CTC, he's only at 30%?

Because CTC has mistakenly doubled his drop target after he rose earlier in the week. He will drop tomorrow.

what's FT?

http://www.fantasytools.co.uk/

And I concur with reds363 I have Rooney currently at 47% towards a drop

This is awesome!!

Is Lampard likely to go down (in price) this GW? Think he has 1 days protection left?

If he was indeed protected, given the unpredictability of the protection especially in the second half of the season I'd watch out for Lampard dropping sooner than expected.

I have him down as having a NTI count of -11177 since his red flag was removed on the 22/02/10 which is around 50% of the way to a drop.
So whilst CTC has him down as having received protection FT doesn't and so I'd keep an eye on there as well to make sure.

Strange things afoot on the FT site. CTC has had Lampard down as being protected as per the normal rules however FT didn’t and had him approaching 60% towards a drop yesterday.
However having looked today Lampard is now 3% towards a drop! So does that site either protect players or not?

Working off my own figures I have Lamps as currently 66% towards a drop should no protection have been applied. It’d be nice to know the logic that FT applies or whether it just makes it up as it goes along.

FT assumes no protection from the beginning, but if no price change has happened when the 'possible' protection period is up, it copies CTC's figures (and therefore immediately assumes protection was applied)

Fixed that for you. Murder1 is right over at FT they just assume everyone is unprotected so that a rise/fall deosnt sneak up on you.

A pointless excercise I think. As discussed on here in the past, it might be worthwhile detailing the count with and without protection until the next price change - FT currently only covers for the scenario that the player drops within the expected protection period, but resetting at the point makes no sense.

As it stands this morning I think Lamps is 77% towards a drop should no protection have been applied, FT has lost that information.

Cheers, my bad!

I agree that if possible, keeping two counts after a flag would be good, if it wouldn't be too complicated to do.

I've got Lampard on roughly -21,500 NTI since his red flag was removed.
I'll try and update later tonight what his figure is, but if no protection was applied to him then he looks likely to drop tonight.

Saying that this could all have been a waste of time and he'll end up being protected as expected. :?

No drop for Lamps meaning protection was applied.

Yes. It will probably be back up with the 13.00 data before 14.00 based on previous experience.

I don't know what you mean when you say Fabregas' price is "frozen",but he looks to me certain to drop in about an hour and a half from now.

n.b. you won't see any further movement on CtC after the 22.00 hours update,as that's the last one tonight - next at 9 am GMT - see page 1 for scheduled timings

In December, Fabregas went down to something like 500% of require NTO for a drop but stayed frozen to 11.7, then came back to play one game, had a small NTI and almost immediately raised in price. That was screwed up.

I'm expecting Fab to drop tonight as he's not expected to play tomorrow at Hull, and recover the fall almost immediately as it seems likely he should be fit to play at home against WHM next week, although those who've sold him to buy Lampard or Milner and can't afford both, may stick with them for their DGW's in GW31.

Whichever way the wind blows, come rain or shine, the sun'll come out tomorrow...

Now the following information was gathered using a} the CTC website and b} my brain: He went up a couple of nights ago, I doubt he will go up again for a couple more...

What was actually nice in Robin's full answer was; that alongside his quip he also gave him a real answer!

Having no access to CTC, FT or the FPL site can be frustrating whilst at work!

Are we in that all too common situation of this season that someone has scored over 15 points and is looking likely to drop in price?
