Following on from an earlier thread... I thought this could be quite interesting.

I dragged out my old portfolio tonight because I want to frame some of the pictures I did when I was a lad. I've framed up two of them and have about 5 or 6 that I will add to this. I then found a bunch of technical drawings that I did at the same time that now seem worthy of a picture frame... complete with date and teacher notes. :smile:

I'll try and take pictures and post them on the forum but in the mean time I wondered if any other people on here had personal works of art they would like to share...

I'm still trying to get my digital camera to work again which is why I didn't post any pics... but thanks for taking the time to post your stuff. Hopefully it might inspire others to do the same.

My Camera is winding me up (excuse the pun) but I will get things sorted and post my masterpieces. 8-)

No, I'll have to photograph what I have behind glass, I'm afraid, though there might be the odd thing online. I'll have a search.

I used to work at a printers that had a 'drum scanner'... you can scan in stuff at almost any size and at at much better quality than a desktop scanner.

Shame I didn't take advantage really... although, having said that, some of mine are pretty big!!!

For sure! Photography is my medium. I'd love to get a handful of my best shots blown up to A3 or bigger still. It's the cost that hurts!

Maybe one day my prints will come. :wink:

Nope, art college kinds beats it out of you. That was pre-art shool when I still enjoyed it and thought I had a talent. Trouble is it was just damn hard work, I had very little natural talent, just enough to get by.

Within two terms at college I'd jacked it in and did photography for two years.

Only very occasionally do very odd watercolours on holidays. Great art it isn't.

It's a great shame when making a job of a hobby kills the love of it, isn't it? Seen it happen with a fair few friends over the years.
