Hi,

Has anyone heard yet whether this fixture will be played on the saturday 5th or sunday 6th April or when it will be announced?.
I see on Bram's site as being the 5th but haven't seen this announced on FA website or SSN Yet.

Cheers

It all depends on the Champions League Draw

At the Moment Sky are showing

Arsenal at 1245 on Saturday 5th

Man U at 1330 on Sunday 6th

Chelsea at 1600 on Sunday 6th

The BBC have the National on Saturday and have first Choice.

If Man U or Chelsea play on Tues 8th then that frees up a TV slot
for Sky to show the semi on Sunday.

FS Record: FPL 28th 06/07; CYKI 10th 08/09; TFFO 3rd 09/10; ISO champ 06/07 & 09/10; TFF £25s 2nd and 2-foot winner 2010/11
Actually the Draw only determines who plays who

Then UEFA and the clubs (and TV companies?) decide who will play on which night, to maximise media coverage and fit in with clubs' existing domestic schedules.

But note that MC-CHE has mysteriously disappeared from the TV schedules on both Sky and the PL's websites. This leaves space for Sky to show one semi on Sunday at 4, and BBC to show the other on Saturday evening (and I suspect BBC, having first choice, would probably choose WBA-Pompey?)

So MU will prob play Wed 9th in the CL, so Chelsea will prob play Tue 8th (unless they draw United!) so their City match will move back to Sat 5th. :?:

The Tv Companies in England have Man U and Liverpool
as the pairing they want to play on seperate days (So ITV 1 can show only these two clubs EVERY time  )

Obviously if they get drawn together they cant then play each other

Normally the dates are announced within an hour of the draw
being made
