i know a few have mentioned it already but it would be a nice touch to rename the elite league if only until the end of the season in memory of john a damn fine fisoer who contributed loads to the forums and he loved his involvement in the sun syndicates which i had the pleasure to take part in with him for several seasons

Makes sense to me. A fitting tribute; as far as I know he seemed to play SDT more than the other games (aside from the gee gees).

The John Morrison Elite League?

Definitely gets my backing.

I only originally called it the Elite league to restrict each FISOer to one team each, not sure if MadDog or Edmo have changed those rules.

With 10% of the annual prize money going to charity would be good.

Good idea's for both the renaming and the % of prize money to charity (perhaps to the one of the Pa family choice in respect of donations).

I'd return to SDT and enter an annual team in order to contribute.

I agree - I would enter a team as well and if I won I would donate all the money to the chosen charity along with the money already going to charity.

Perhaps a charity for up and coming youngsters who are trying to become jockeys or golfers?

Chosen charity has an already obvious answer as posted by gazwood.

What about a contribution to pay for Sandy's insurance policy?

It cost £7.50 a month this year; last two seasons of the Elite league we've managed 75+

So the realistic 10% each and every season then, give or take, to keep numbers up.

I fully endorse a renaming of the competition and 10% of all receipts going to charity.

I've threatened to come back to SDT the last two seasons and chosen not too in the end. Like Gaz, I would also make a return to The John Morrison Elite League next season, and be more than happy to see my money go towards something special.
