I'm playing my wildcard this week and certain players are scoring a lot of points and becoming something of a bandwagon, for instance Tevez and Lampard.

I was wondering if the collective wisdom of FISO could come up with other slightly less obvious bandwagons, and answer the question of whether it is even necessary to jump on bandwagons if you want to be successful in FPL??

Personally I don't think you need to jump many bandwagons to be sucessful. I haven't jumped on that many and its done me fine, though then again I have hit a bit of a slump...

A few:

Ronaldo
Kapo
Laursen
De Ridder (possibly)
Drogba
Tevez
Agbonlahor
Santa Cruz

Best to have a look at DP's site to see which players are the most popular (based on daily NTIs)

Don't think you need an expensive team to be successful. However, I find an expensive team compensates for bad luck, etc. especially if you have the usual bonii scorers.

I learnt a useful trick with wildcards.

Buy all the players that you think will increase by 0.2 in the week, even if you aren't going to keep them. After they have increased by 0.2, sell them for whoever you want and you'll have an extra 0.1 in the bank. Since you get unlimited trades in a wildcard week, you won't get points penalties for the transfers! but you need to do this first step ASAP or else these guys who are going to jump up in value are going to go up by 0.1 today and you will miss the boat....or the wagon

What he said, remember though, don't sell any of your players that you will not be able to afford to buy back within the gameweek if your plannin to keep them.
