I mentioned this last week and its come up again this week, with Cech & Rooney, so I thought I would put it to a vote...

From the beginning I wanted to keep this game simple with very few rules, but i thought that the "no-edits rule" was a good one.

If the majority would prefer though to be allowed replacements for injured players (or other reasons), then I will change the wording/rules starting from GW15 (to allow time for results of poll/discussions).

So, if you pick an injured player, do you think that you should be able to pick a replacement (new reply from bottom of list)? or is the current risk factor a good part of the game? - discuss

(poll open for 7 days)

No way, the whole point in getting in quick is that you are risking these injuries.

I would actually like the thread up earlier, so that people could play it more tactically, but that's for another day...

I picked Rooney this gameweek. I say No, even though I would benefit from an immediate change to the rules.

Changing the rules would complicate matters. Besides this is FPL where we play the captain, accepting the risk of zero points or negative points getting doubled.

No subs, I say. :)

I voted "no" too. It makes it more of a challenge.

I say no too, it's the risk of picking early and adds to the fun of the game.
Keep it simple. 8-)

Definite NO from me too. This is one of my favourite games, partly because of the simplicity of it.

So it seems the vast majority agree that everyone should have to stick with their pick, even if he is injured.

The aim of the game is to pick quick, but it may be a good idea for people to check the injury status of players before picking them. Everyone runs the risk that their pick may get injured in training, or for some other reason not play. For early/quick pickers that risk might be higher, but that risk is often worth taking.

Anyway, I wish you all the best of luck for the rest of the season & I hope you all continue to enjoy this simple little game - PICK QUICK
