I am in the process of finalising my many teams for the various competitions which start tomorrow. I have found an entry list for the following weeks European Tour event which has helped with a couple of selections, but cannot track down anything for the Texas Open. Is there anything out there???

Although these are only usually available on the PGA Tour site from the Friday before the event, some event sites have field lists available (albeit very provisional - as players have as of 22:00 BST on Friday to enter) or mention certain players committing to playing.

Unfortunately, I too have failed to find any news on the Valero Texas Open field (http://valerotexasopen.org), but been much more successful for the following week's Verizon Heritage (http://theheritagegolfsc.com).

Not much to go with but read that Adam Scott has confirmed that he will be defending his Texas Open title and Goosen and Holmes have declared their interest in playing that event too.

Others scheduled to compete in Valero Texas Open include Barnes, Duval, Mediate, Weir, Leonard, Walker and Beckman.

Source is local newspaper in San Antonio (Need to get a PA to show me how to insert the link  )

More advance info from San Antonio Express News: http://www.mysanantonio.com/sports/golf ... z1IgNa9jfZ

Scott Verplank, who pushed Phil Mickelson for the championship at last weekend’s Shell Houston Open, said he plans to play at the Valero Texas Open if his aching left wrist will allow it.

Tour rookie Chris Kirk, who was runner-up alongside Verplank to Mickelson, also said he will be at the Texas Open on April 14-17.

Looks like Anthony Kim's playing, too:

Guess he won't be playing in Korea this year, though, following his snub for a European Tour card renewal.
