Just had a look at a few of todays points and i'm completely miffed

Malouda (loses, no goals, no assists) 67
Drogba (loses, no goals, no assists) 61

both score more than

Carroll (loses but scores goal) 55

Ashley Cole (loses , lets in 1 goal) 57

scores more than

Vidic (wins and gets cleansheet) 48

Once you get the hang of the system it does seem to make some sense;

Do bigger all, turn up at the end and glance the ball in off your arse scores less than someone who works like a good un but no goals.

A defender is not punished cos he's surrounded by numpties and a goalkeeper with no arms.

Everything counts, crosses, passes, clearances, blocks tackles etc etc... a goal or an assist is all all one part of the mix.

Of course having a weekend that may see me go top 500 has no bias whatever on my view

no biased here as I have all the players mentioned whether I agree with the system or not, if thats the way its scored fair enough its just so complicated if you havent seen the game but seen your player has scored but his points dont justify that over someone else who has had more shots than him but failed to put any away, strange

for what its worth my 2 best teams scored

951st - 576 points with 3 to play  865th
1,035st - 743 points with none to play  467th

not sure whats a good or average weekly score in this but a quick pressumtion is that 500-600 is an average week based on my total scores and how many weeks have been played?

It's certainly not an FF game that can be watched on MOTD, which is why I wasn't keen on it to begin with, but by chance I ended up with a decent starting XI and week 6 score of 804  since then I've managed to lurk inside the top 1000.

550-600 seems be a position holding score and the leading score does seem to move on at this kind of pace, the leader yesterday scored 628.

I'm guessing the teams near the top now are all much of a muchness and progress is only going to made by captaining a not popular player and hoping they score a hatfull

The leader prior to this weekend had 7912 points over 13 sets of matches, giving an Average of 609 points per 10 match Game week.

I suspect that you may need to score 650 points this week, to maintain your point gap with the leaders as it seems to be a High scoring week for a lot of the popular players.

This games also includes the FA Cup. I suspect the 3rd/4th round will shake up the top positions a lot when the Top 6 clubs rotate and rest players. I suspect it will be a lottery to get 11 players actually playing for the 3rd round games, particularly as team line ups are filed after the transfer deadline.

The other thing with this game is on a Saturday night you do not know if your score is a good score or not. My top team scored 547 points yesterday with 2 left to play, but lost 81 points on the Leader (I hope all 11 if their players played) So, is this a good week, poor week or a Holding week. The answer will only come on Monday night.

T&C's say it's only premier league games that count, so no FA Cup, I believe.

I scored 569 yesterday (3 to play) gained 30 places :D but dropped 60+ points on the lead :(

By the way, Sky Bet are also now using the same scoring for their Premier League Man of the Match betting:

Thank You - I could have sworn that this game included the FA CUP. Have checked terms and conditions and you are indeed correct.

Rule 1:Never back a goalie.

If Foster can only come 4th= after the keeping performance of the season, there is something deeply flawed about their system.
