With Senegal out of the ACN Ba is due back on Monday and may play against Blackburn on Wednesday. I am in the middle of my wildcard this week and and believe that Sturridge out and Ba in will be my next move.

I have 2 free this week, so will drop Sturridge, playing in an underperforming and frustrating Chelsea side away at Swansea and bring in Adebayor for the home fixture against Wigan and then reassess the following GW, with a Ba switch likely.

I'm hoping that the likelihood of the Blackburn game coming too soon will deter Ba buyers until his price drops to 7.2

If I were to replace Sturridge these are the following choices in terms of attractiveness

--Bellamy
--Welbeck
--Morison

I'd add Keane and Zamora to that list, with Zamora being the best pick especially if you don't have Dempsey.

If you have Valencia, then Wellbeck can be missed.
Ba stands a good chance of being left out

Why does everyone assume Ba is going to come back from the AFC and just regain the FPL points production he had previously? Surely half of his production will go to Cisse now, or at least a good enough chunk to matter. Same problem with Bellamy, with Suarez back Bellamy will go back to the rotation he was previously. Does this mean I think Sturridge is the answer...No. Chelsea is playing like garbage and sturridge is unhappy about being on the wing. He has become more selfish as this has continued and it is forcing him into bad decisions on the pitch. For this price range my money would be on Morrison, Zamora, Helgeson or even Crouch. I wouldn't even be that surprised to see Bendtner have a great second half under MON.

I truly hope Sturridge lights it up and rewards everyone that keeps the faith but I see trouble on the horizon.

That's probably due to so many playing their WC who've decided to bring him in now, whether or not he plays against Blackburn,to save themselves a transfer next GW. Quite irritating !

chelsea aren't playing that badly at all - they're unbeaten this year (w3 d1) and only lost twice in the league since october (i think). I read a lot about sturridge supposedly being unhappy about playing on the wing, but haven't ever seen a direct quote - he's only said that he'd prefer playing centrally, that doesn't automatically mean he's unhappy elsewhere on the pitch.

he was always a selfish player, and i am personally happy for him to play as selfishly as possible, maybe it's not ideal for chelsea, but it's a good thing for FPL.

1. The reason I say playing with Cisse will affect his output is due to the fact that I think they will split the goals. Ba at 14 in the first half turns to Ba with 7 in the second. He will no longer be the only target upfront.

2. They have gotten results but not played well. 5 goals in the last 6 games do not bode well for FPL points. Plus in watching the games there is just a general disconnect between the MF and the front three. I am not sure how AVB plans and using Essien and if this will have a positive impact or not, but at the moment their goal output is jus tnot there.

3. Selfishness can be good in some cases but I would rather my player make the pass for a good look at goal then take the shot from a terrible and tight angle on a prayer. Basically I would rather have a 50% chance of an assist than a 5% chance of a goal.

4. Yeah I just read that his injury was worse than expected...who knows maybe Conner Wickham will be the second coming of Andy Carrol
