Simple question:

Can you paste paste the wallpaper or do you have to paste the wall?

Was that a Yes?

I have not used Paste The Wall Wallpaper and have always used normal paper.

Slightly worried that I will get it wrong by pasting the wall first, even though that is the whole point of the paper.

The most important thing is consistency of the paste too thin you will get bubbles, to thick it will be hard to move into place without tearing(problematic with lining paper), if you are hanging vertically pasting the wall isn`t required, but I would if hanging Horizontally in a large room as it will allow the maneuverability required to do this successfully.

Paste the wall.

With emulsion.

Throw the wallpaper away.

My approach.

Wallpaper is awful, especially when it comes to removing it. Never buy textured as you can't even paint over it.

Would be my approach, but the wall is not the best and wallpaper hides a thousand sins.

I don`t know what that is, the only time I paper walls is with Lining Paper to make them fit for painting, or I guess for adding patterned paper, walls are for toned colours, paintings and well framed Photographs, printed wallpaper will date and look like you have tried too hard, always.

Why reply to my first post? You replied as if you had used Paste The Wall Wallpaper.

So has anyone used Paste The Wall Wallpaper? (Key words Paste The Wall)

Sorry just seen this. I used paste a wall a few months back, mix plenty of paste as the walls can really suck you brush dry but it was the easiest tidiest wallpapering job I've ever done. I will look for paste the wall first from now on.

You could PVA the walls first I suppose....I reckon with 'paste the wall' paper you'd need to do this anyway.

I have an extra roll just in case.

Lets call it trial and error.

Hey Ash, just doing a bit myself & got paste the wall paper.
As an old stickler for protocol I am pasting the paper & wall, just think that there is no need for soaking.
I have done about 6 lengths now.

I used it today and did exactly the same thing.

Have to say that the paper went on better than any I have used before and looks great.
