Hi to All,

I don´t know if someone here asked SilentManager to do copy and paste teams...but I asked it and I found that those teams, when I do a sub, for example... buying a player that costs 15m and selling a player that costs 5m making that team budget goes for example to 106m, I save it and team continues valid!!! I wrote an email to them, tonight to report this, because I´m afraid some people can take advantage of this and cheat.

Hi Rui...I have to say that agreeing to enter teams on behalf of managers is just another fine mess that Silent Manager have got themselves into.

I am also expecting a lot of issues with the timing of transfers during the system - i.e. managers complaining that they made a transfer before a particular KO, but not receiving the relevant points. Sorry to be such a pessimist, but I really haven't seen much in the new version of this game that inspires any confidence. :(

You bought a 15million player
and sold a 5million player.

The mission to deduce Rui's starting lineup starts now.

Well spotted!
They have a week to solve, but sooner rather than later, to give people a chance.

Perhaps you should leave one such offending team, purely to test that such team are invalid once the season starts. Chaos if someone left one in and got away with ...the trophy!

Are you in this year Rui? (inside newspaper deployment area) Guess you only need "los Ingles" import newspapers, them being regular in the Algarve to qualify Portugal.

Is there any recognised formation that has an advantage over another?

I've been very distant for about a year and it does seem like its awkward to register, play (switch players, even slow to select and view all swiftly) and even pay.

Could be less entrants and hence even a greater chance of winning. :!:
But still i wont enter more than a few.

I just don't have the time these days. Plus i feel my interest in the Premier is slightly waning.

I must re-read the rules....did they get rid of Manager and transfers between the 12.45pm, 3pm, 530pm games? Lets hope so.

This is wrong and totally out of order, copying and pasteing teams. It should not be allowed full stop. I have taken the time and effort to put in some teams and people are now being allowed to in my opinion cheat, its not the players fault but SM's fault.

Its totally wrong.

How is it cheating?

I'm just registered a few teams. And even i wouldn't mind some copy and paste, if it helped.
The players still have to make up their own mind.

Anyway? I think its nothing you're complaining about.
I'll spend the next days deciding who to pick, like yourself, slowly and manually.

Will enjoy a cuppa now, with the Mirror paper pullout, just to see what i can muster with £100m

Good luck to all.
I had nearly forgotten the buy 1 get 1 free.
If i missed this i DEFO wouldnt enter.

Does YTM also enter a mini-league in the Barclays, biggest FF game? the one with practically no prizes but 2 mill entrants round the world.

If this is an accurate statement, it's getting pretty close to being the final straw. We can't be sure that they will sort this out, even if they claim to have done so, because for something like this to be discovered by an entrant, rather than by the game designer reeks of total and utter incompetence. Even if they do sort it out conclusively how can we be sure that there won't be different cock ups awaiting down the line? SM seem to be well meaning but ................

What about the people who dont use FISO and dont know about the copy and paste, it should be the same for everyone, from the start of the game to the finish.

Stick to the rules and let others worry about false teams.

Not for the first time on these threads - a post presuming we all think the same way, "let's hope so" indeed. No, let's not hope so. I think quite the opposite, i'm more than happy for the opportunity to change players between matches on the same day as it increases opportunity for planning, tactics etc. - and if it stops multi-entrants from managing hundreds of teams then all the better. They did get rid of the manager feature though i'd have preferred that to remain too.

Anyway - that bumps this thread up, so we might get an answer re the overbudget issue.

To be fair, I have seen a ytm plug in the Daily Mirror this week (and in the Sunday People) which mentioned the copy / paste for multiple teams and a contact number for people to do this. Granted, it's not on the website though (well not that I can see)

Hey QuizKing, you are right there are advantages to doing transfers between games on the Sat & Sun. Alas i would prefer not, but looking forward to the challenge.

i was commenting like everyone does, so you're either reading too deep into it or there are 2 sides to your bed and.....

Here's a leap of faith...deep breath....I would presume we all think...it advantageous to own a smartphone to Transfer on the move next season.

Any takers? Quizking !?

Budgets ....they musta got a budget reckoner from the EU or US. Proving a bit buggy at the moment.

Very funny - of course a smartphone transfer option would be a good thing (had originally thought that was being brought in this term), but an even better thing would be a site that works efficiently for this season.

Yes your comment is valid opinion - my worry has been that sm are all too willing to make changes at the last minute when every issue should have been sorted weeks if not months ago. And i don't want them changing the rules yet again now with only five days to go, just because they think it might be popular! The previous post was on the other very long thread, someone suggested they speak for all of us when wanting to be able to pick all the star players and have a much easier budget, which isn't the case at all.

I've not had problems with the budgets, and the system has seemed to add up my team prices correctly as it goes along, so am wondering if this might be another browser issue - all fine here with firefox, and have tried with safari too, no worries.

Hi All

A quick response to this thread in relation to the over the budget teams.

Rui kindly mailed us last night to flag this. Basically it relates to a script we ran to duplicate one of Rui's teams which did not have the budget constrain logic in it. A manual update ('query') which went wrong - sorry! Rui has recieved an update from one of the team here to explain and ask him to re-pick 1 player. This 'query' only affected a team type by Rui and 1 other, 32 teams in total, both have been corrected.

For assurance - there is logic in the budget constraint across all games we run to avoid users going over budget. In addition - with all games we run we process a weekly rougue team check - to look for over budget teams, players out of position and maximum players from 1 club limit (which is not applicable in this game). To further assure the cynics - the reason we run this check is not the non confidence in the game logic, but more as additional diligence.

In terms of fairness of helping players duplicate their teams - this service is open to all. I guess our ommission is we have only proactivley pushed / publisized this service to those we feel would be interested in the service - those with several dozen teams. However, to reconfirm - we would be more than happy to extend this offer to all. Please feel free to call us on 0844 8804 573 or email vip@youthemanager.co.uk if you would like teams duplicated.

Thanks
