The Fantasy League game was dominated by a certain multi-team investor last season.

My goal is to beat him and his 100's of teams.

Who are the must haves to start with in August?

I'll start with:

Clint Dempsey
Joey Barton
Marc Albrighton
Charles Insomnia

Looks like quite a flexible budget this season ...

Going to watch Chelsea in Hong Kong next week and will see if Nando can produce anything.

The biggest questions so far...

Torres or Drogba?

Tevez or Adebayor?

Bale or VDV? or both?

Neither, neither, Bale. Do I win a prize?

He started with only 15 teams, see last year's OFL ISO thread

I can accept those answers.

But Drogba could fire again and Man City will score goals no matter who starts at striker...

Although City and Chelsea defenders look appealing, I've noticed the bigger teams seemed to out-score the weaker teams by huge margins last season ... Making the odd Berbatov or Drogba selection a huge opportunity.

I could be wrong, but the big teams seemed to let in more goals last season than usual...

This could be a huge year :P

Budgeting seems very flexible.

After my Overall victory... I'll admit,

the anxiety/excitement I felt on my way to the top... forced me into retirement for one season. but i'm back.

Well, just off out the door to watch Chelsea play in Hong Kong. The jury's out for Torres and Drogba in my opinion so it'll be interesting to see how they play against the might of Blackburn, Villa and, erm, Kitchee...

i'm at the game too...

Chelsea are the most boring team in england.

Blackburn vs Villa was much better.

Quite right, that was rubbish. Somehow I don't think I'll be getting Torres in. He was only on the pitch for 5 minutes and you could see his shoulders slump. He just doesn't look like a happy man.

Welcomee back Kdub - always great to have a former Champ to bounce ideas off.

So who are your must haves right now?

Is it worth investing in a City striker (when they have so many) or doubling up on defence?

Still fancy Dempsey at 4.4? Will Jol play him up front? Who is on pens - him or Murphy.

Why Albrighton and N'Zogbia? Maybe Bent a better bet as he'll have pens and maybe free kicks (always a big part of Young and Milner's Villa points).
