Out of my 2 teams one got ousted from the Amatuer Matchplay this weekend and the other managed to get through to the last 32 of the Professional Matchplay. Anyone else still involved?

The pressure is off me though because I'll be on holiday and my mate Lister will be sorting my team.
Next round not until 29th September.

Well done for making the last 32.

Sadly for me I lost interest in the matchplays 2 weeks ago :(

FS Record: Some Pro Fantasy league top 10s and a session winner. Little else.
Last 2 teams both ousted this week....one of them by 1 point :(

Good luck

One of my four teams is through to the last 32 of the Amateur comp

I've got my work cut out though because I've been drawn against Tony Murnaghan

Will probably have to choose my team very wisely that week!

An added problem for Lister, my team in the last 32 is also sitting in 2nd place in the "fall finish" table, problem he's got it's only got 5 transfers left! I'll be setting it up for this weekend then it's his problem for 2 weeks. If it goes t1ts up I can blame him....I left him my team to babysit in good health.........Deal with it Neill

Safely through to the last 16 (Thanks for your help Lister).
This week will be a tough one though, he has 5 playing I have 2. One of mine is the same as his. He has 3 transfers left I have 5. I may as well use my 3 for the week because the team is dead apart from this. One of his players is Donald so it looks like I'll need to bring him in.

Hard luck Elk, at least you got a good run.

Out of curiosity, who did you bring in?

The full Quarter-Final draws are now available:

No sign of Tony Murnaghan, but one of the quarter-finalists is to undergo a drugs test!

I have managed to make it to the amateur matchplay final! 8-)

Only problem is that I have completely used up my transfers in order to get there!

If Luke Donald pulls out of the HSBC I can only field five players for the final (Rose, Noren, Toms, P Hanson & F Molinari). To be honest I was expecting Gary Woodland and Webb Simpson to be playing the HSBC. :(

On the bright side looking at my opponents team I can only see three starters at the moment (McIlroy, Toms & Dyson). However he has 2 transfers left so it'll be five versus five.

Fingers crossed!

Well assuming my opponent doesn't make any last minute alterations the amateur matchplay final lines up like this:-

My Team - F Molinari, Rose, Noren, P Hanson, Toms

Opponent's Team - Westwood, McIlroy, Dyson, P Hanson, Toms

I think its safe to say that I am the underdog!

But you never know, I've got high hopes for Molinari & the underrated Noren. With hindsight picking Rose a couple of weeks ago was a mistake I shouldn't have made because for years he has been one of those players I can never catch at the right time! Also I had a stroke of luck with Garcia opting out of the HSBC otherwise it would have been a six versus five man final.

Good luck Phil, you never know with Westwood and McIlroy, so stay positive!

Cheers toffee! I'm just really chuffed to be in the final

The Pro MatchPlay final is interesting. The two teams do not share a single player. It lines up:-

McIlroy, F Molinari, Schwartzel, Hanson, Reavie
v
Watney, Rose, KJ Choi, Toms, Dyson, Noren

Obviously this means 6 players v 5, but I think I would rather have the team with the 5 :?: :?

Yeah very pleased with my start!

Just a bit of a shame about Molinari's double bogey, bogey finish

Long way to go yet though :|
