OFL Professional and Amateur matchplay comps

I have no byes this year :evil:

Good news is that all 8 of my teams are in the Prof matchplay. I play Padmole in one (grudge) match

and also fellow FISOers Knotty and Philip Howard (FISO username anyone?) in other matches.

Also play Douglas Millar (previous overall champion) in another, so not impressed with my draw this year :roll:

Starts with the WGC Bridgestone Invitational (5-8 August).

Fowler v Holmes

Went out with both my sides one in the amateur and one in the pro, Logans Run went out of the amateur as well so not much posting on this thread for us:roll:

Oh dear. Well I was hammered in the Pro version, but got through in my sleeper team ready for the autumn comp.

I dont tend to look for about 4 weeks of it then realise all are out! LOL

Just picking best team I can each week without using transfers and see if I get lucky!!!

Some have - some havent

One team was so abysmal looking and got through!

I was getting comfortably beat in both pro and am after day three, but a turnaround on the final round got my am team through - pro team was up against the 27th best this week who had both Palmer and O'Hair.

My opponent and I this week potentially have four in common, so it will likely be down to the remaining pair to split us.

By the way, what are the tie-break rules this year - had a quick scan and couldn't see them.

Please Note: In the event of a tie on points scored, the team that scores the most 'Finishing Position' points will be awarded the win, and if the teams are still level, 'Best Round' points are then taken into account. If there is still no way of separating the sides, then the visiting team (which has been drawn randomly) will be awarded the victory.

Of my three teams, my highest ranking in the league got dumped so I have one through in the Amateur and one in the Pro - although my Pro is about to meet Hellmole.... :cry:

What new rules are they then? The rules in the event of a tie haven't changed, namely:

Most place points
Most best round points
Away team

I'm through to the last 256, Woo Hoo! Scraped home by 192-38.

This week is going to be much more difficult, only two active players to start with now that Chris Wood has withdrawn, and one of them is one of my 0.5m fillers.
