sorry, I had ditched the idea of updating a table with the original comparisons as that was only really valid until the end of November, as that was how far ahead the squad was originally planned to avoid clashes.

just for you though here's the latest top 10 :)

Feels like Graham has been leading this forever, but he's got to be looking over his shoulder now at the transfer heavy two in Fat Skier and Britinus. Well played so far guys.

I have done the calculation for myself and others anyway for the original squad:-

GK
Hart 22
FB
Baines 15
Riise 6
Richards 25
CB
Terry 23
Vidic 12
Huth 8
MID
Lampard 35
VanDerVaart 29
Dempsey 35
Downing 0
Hoolahan 14
Etherington 16
Larsson 21
Cabaye 14
STR
VanPersie 69

TOTAL 344

That would place the original in 10th in the ISO league and about 850th overall.

What a great original squad pick.
If you also take into account that even the most conservative manager with transfers would have ditched Downing and Vidic by now the score would be greater.

You are correct that I am looking over my shoulder at those closing in with extra transfers. I am relieved to have opened up a small gap this week. I have had a poor run since xmas and hope to pick up the pace again now.

I am truly proud to have held off such an esteemed group of players for so long, that include no less than last years ISO champ, last years overall champ and this years current overall leader.

Hope i'm not going to regret leaving players on the bench. Earlier in the season totally forgot to put Mata in and lost 5 points, also chickened out of using Williams (Swansea) and lost two clean sheets. Think I would now be in 8th place, but still hoping to improve on current pos. of 19th.

Your team looks in decent shape, and most of those above you have got significantly fewer transfers left (though I see one or two with 10/11 left.) Best of luck as we approach the business end of the season.

Not exactly a chatty lot on here, are we, these days?

Are many here still in the cups? After a poor start I somehow scaped into the CL and sqiueaked through the last round

So I've noticed, but I'm to blame on that score too. Thanks for support.
Have one other team which is hanging on in the CL comp, still a long way to go though, 200 odd teams still left in.

I don't often look at the top of the table :( but I see it is still tightly grouped. Another 10pts and you'd be in the top 10, Britinus with your ISO team. Good going.

You're doing great Britinus - keep it up.

Full of what ifs for me this season. Managed to grind my way into top 100 and up to 4th in ISO table, but only 2 subs left so it's a long shot. Doesn't help I just benched Larsson today for his brace away at City - especially as I couldd've switched to 4-5-1 to fit him in with Aguero out, but with a head like a sieve completely forgot to amend it so 6 points down the swanny.

Also only got 58 points from RVP this season when the 3 above have 100, 92, 87. I doggedly stuck with Rooney through a baron patch at the start of the season while RVP was flying - managed to annoy me all season that has!!

Yeah, well played Britinus. You look well placed to push on a bit higher in the overall standings yet. I have failed to post most of my transfers on this thread, but blitzed 5 of my remaining 8 in the last two weeks. Out went Hangeland, Larsson, Silva, Chamberlain and Sturridge. In came Vermaelen, Sigurdsson, Valencia, Hoilett and Jelavic. Down about 4 points on the deal so far. Right moves maybe, but the timing all wrong!

Still only 6 points covering the top 3. Britinus obviously has advantage on number of transfers and the lead at present, but anything could still happen. May the best man win........... or alternatively me instead :)

I'm presuming I've cocked up regarding the transfers I've got left! Haven't played this game in a few years, forgot about the 5 transfers per month rule, I've got 11 left, I presume I'm going to have one spare at the end of the season?
Not played well at all really, still got an interest because my ISO team is still in the champions league knockout.

Correct, but to still be in the knockouts with the maximum 10 transfers at your disposal is a great position!

Waiting for scores to be updated, but think I'm through to the last 64 of the Champion's League. My opponent transferred in Cisse to give him the lead, but a Lampard transfer sealed it for me (if my calculations are correct)

Outstanding performances from Britinus and Fat Skier in this years ISO league, which sees them both currently occupying a Top 20 overall position. Good luck to both for the final run-in! Going to be interesting what rabbits out of a hat Britinus is going to produce with his 5 transfers :)

Last transfer was going to be Cisse in for Valencia. Considered doing it last Sat, which would have gained me 5 points, but I wanted Valencia for the home game with Everton, so left it alone. Think I will do nothing again this weekend, and make the final throw before the midweek games. Cisse still an option, but a couple of alternatives in mind. Trickiest decision after that will be which eleven to field on the final day, assuming injuries don't make the choices for me.

Nice one Fat Skier, up to 5th. I slipped up with Williams -3 and when I could have got +6 he was benched  and Simpson -3. -1 for the day, not the stuff champions are mafe of. Hope you can make a good transfer with your last one, anyway well done.

Lol LOl LOL...Fat Skier I am laughing at the non Cisse move, another 6pts last night...sorry to laugh at your misfortune but its a pain I feel as I SO nearly bought him in rather than Ba(that.1mill was the difference)all those weeks ago,...and really was going to again the first time he scored 2 but he was stretchered off the field, turns out for nothing worse than bad cramp...etc...Huge Mistake...because just his points alone would have put me in the top 10 you probably 1st or there abouts...ah that bloody Hindsight..

Unfortunately everybody looks to suffer from the same hindsight-thingies.
Still gutted with my RVP transfer which cost me 38 points.. Would've put me in 2nd place overall (now 11th).

With my last transfer I took Cisse out just after he started against Chelsea and transferred VDV in. I had four strikers and could not play them all for the last game. So far this looks like a good transfer :) Unless he scores four agaist Man City ofcourse..

Yeah Dennis, hindsight is a wonderful comfort blanket! Well played, anyway, on getting where you are without those RVP points. Good luck for the final few games. Great team name btw.

Cheers Britinus. Will be interested to see what you do with your final three transfers. I will probably use my final one at some point tomorrow. The headache remains which three strikers does one want for the final set of games...

Hmm, my team wasn't 11th. Must have been in my dreams or perhaps in the Gold/Silver championship. But anyway, still somewhere around 17th place with a chance on a top 10 finish. Would be great!
Cheers for the compliments. PSV Eindhoven supporters are nicknamed "Farmers" because they are not from the big cities like Amsterdam and Rotterdam. But we're very proud of it :)
Good luck to all of you in those final games. Hopefully the last transfer(s) will work out or pay dividend, if that's how you say it ;)

I have had a few "if only" moments this season. Hindsight is so powerful in your memory when things go wrong that you forget the decisions that went better that you expected. Along with the fact you forget that if you had not sold your expensive striker you would not have been able to bring in that pricier midfielder that scored so well, for example.
I blame my fall from glory on being immobilised for December and January, with FAR too much time on my hands to think of transfers I could do and give in against my instincts and do unnecessary moves. Then, to top that off, I had so little time in March I made a couple of rash moves on the spur of the moment.
Never mind there is always next season.

Two transfers were used to bring in Cisse and Jelavic, neither of who scored
Hindsight is always better then foresight...still regretting the Mata and Williams 11 points I let slip by leaving them on the bench.
Think I'll probably drop Cisse but who to bring in? A Wigan player might be worth a gamble.

Although I am not in the ISO league this season, I think I will sign up next year though, I have also had some if only moments, for a start I am 6 points down on what I should be as I didn't do my supersubs on a couple of occasions and missed out on goals for Dempsey, Mata and Sinclair, I say 6 points as I transferred Mata to Maxi on Boxing Day and Maxi scored then. Although that transfer in search of one goal possibly cost me far more points in the long run from Mata since then and cost me a chance of winning the overall competition as I am currently 4th overall going into the last game of the season, 19 points off the lead, also second in the Gold and Silver Championship going into the last match day of the season, I now know what Sir Alex talks about when he means squeaky bum time with a prize of £500 or £1,000 at stake and not to mention the Champions League Sprint final as well!

Congrats to the Fat Skier on winning the league! As well as the kudos of becoming champion, he also wins the side prize I offered of £20 to buy a shiny gold team for next years competition. PM me your details and I will get that sent over to you by transfer/paypal etc.

Two managers broke the Top 50 overall to claim national prizes too, congrats again to FatSkier and Britinus!

Hope everyone will be back again next season, when we hope to have the honour of playing with a squad picked by the legendary Fat Skier :)

Thanks everyone for a great competition and Brian for picking a top 5 team. I remember the initial worries about starting with only one striker, but it proved to be a solid foundation.
I'm looking forward to see the team the Fat Skier picks next year and it will be a challenge to win the FISO league!
Have a good couple of months off and we might see eachother in the Euro competition :)

Thanks to BB for running this season's ISO competition and congratulations to the Fat Skier for winning it. 8-)

As one of the 5 original ISO Players, from the TFFO days, it's good to see that the competition is in such good hands and 31 entrants pays testimony to that.

Unfortunately, I think that OFL game itself will be a failed one season trial for me. Despite the excellence of the Web Site, the rules of the game (particularly the scoring system) just didn't appeal to me and this is coupled with the reduced amount of time that family and work commitments leave for Fantasy Football these days.

Maybe the problem is that it's too close to TFFO, without being TFFO - either way, the thrill just wasn't there. :(
