Time for them to leave? So because they weren't strong enough to take on the LSX, they camped outside St. Pauls. But now the cathedral has been closed, its losing money and tourists are staying away from the area. So as a result the attention has been moved away from the people they were targetting.
What are they doing just camping and swearing at walkers by who go into LSX. Its not a protest, its dale farms new home. It looks awful, if you want to protest, get masses of people to march one day and then go home. DOn't ruin the streets and frighten off tourists, cos its not the rich you are affecting its the average joe who makes money through his shops and merchandise.
What they are doing isn't going to change anything, its not going to make the economy better.

Anyone walked by yet? Anyone said hello and offered them a coco? Anyone get into a debate with them?

The Anti Capitalists on the protest

All go to Starbucks for a coffee and to use their toilets (How ironic)

80 percent of them go home overnight as they cant be bothered to stay in the tent

If this was another country, the water cannon would have come out last month !!!!

Just came back from the pub London Wall and walked past this rabble wearing a few halloween masks etc making a couple of shrill bits of noise- witha loudspeaker 100 yards lagging behind.

Must of been all of about 250 of them. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

were probably more photographers tbh. and no tents had pitched as they walked toward me. most of the front of the building had been fenced off to stop the tossers throwing up their tents.

And thankfully so - and the only water cannons that we have are probably still in Northern Island.

They are making an extremely good point. I just wish they hadn't picked St Pauls - it seems like an easy target - a Christian place of worship. The Stock Exchange would have been much better, which I think was the original plan.

The way we're going, the top 1% will have all the money and the other 99% none.

The banks continue to bleed us dry. Barclays profits ? Down to a measly £1.34 billion per quarter. We do not get to share any of the goodies, however, we do get to share the loss when a bank has to be bailed out. Privatise the profit and nationalise the loss.

Wages are suffering a pay freeze, not keeping place with inflation, or for that matter, the 17% hike in utility bills. Youth unemployment is unacceptably high.

Where's it all going to end ?

I'm not out and out anti capitalist and I think it's right to have the chance to work your way up from the top to the bottom but the gap between the haves and have nots..and getting ever wider by the day. I say have nots - I don't mean the people at the very bottom happy to rake in benefits. They are fine  It's the working/upper working/lower middle class that are being squeezed really hard and it's nothing compared to people in the same situation in Greece.

Question is, where's all the money gone ? :? Tony Blair's back pocket no doubt

Does it really matter where they sleep, or piss (as long as it is somewhere appropriate)?

Pitching an empty tent then going back to your banker daddy's warm mansion is hardly hardcore protest that will bring down governments....

Might be a story in it if the infra red photos were not faked.

Not sure it is overly relevant, tbh. It did take them 5 days to decide to open a Account with the Co-op for donations etc, though. My patience would have lasted about 5 mins :?

I have heard rumours but can't vouch for accuracy. The story about the infra red photos seems to have dropped away once the rumours surfaced.

The story got mntioned on Question Time and the protester/questioner in the crowd didn't say they were fake but had a pathetic story that the 10% were paraffin heaters in the tents (how safe..) and that sleeping people didn't show up (how crap would that infa-red be...).

I just assumed it was true. Would be interested if anything proved it was fake. Not sure who first ran the story - if it was fake would be nice to see them prosecuted (or made to spend a few nights in the empty tents  )

The Mail ran a story late last week or maybe at the weekend where they claimed to have an undercover reporter at the camp. He talked about drugs and drink and how the campers partied till the early hours, there was constant movement around the camp and they all slept late. Later he amended his story to claim that very few were there at night and how quiet it was.

Reading between the lines the 10% figure could be true, made up or exaggerated (my money is on the latter). Just because the police deny leaking it doesn't mean an individual didn't secretly state what they had found.

In my last post... I used the word 'footage'... If that can be faked then there's some serious CGI editing going on at St Paul's.

Most of them go home to St Johns Wood (or anywhere else posh in London that you'd like to pick)... end of.

Groomy... they are probably your neighbors kids!!!

So who does have a right to protest about Banks taking the piss; getting a load of Public money to bail them out of their self induced calamity; and then having the temerity to say that Governments aren't good credit risks?

Anyone can protest... and good to luck them. Nothing wrong with that at all... But to then go home at night a for a dinner cooked by mummy is an absolute joke. Especially when they protest too much!!!

So sleeping in the tents or not makes them less right? :?

Bankers behaviour relates to protestors getting a decent night's sleep?

Does pitching a tent (occupied or otherwise) make them any more or less right than a poster whining on FISO or writing his/her 'Disgusted of Tunbridge Wells' to the Mail/Grauniad?

I presumed the extent of your action was supposed to demonstrate the depth of your feelings - something lessened by going home to mummy and daddy

Yes it makes them less right. Quote me their agenda and their proposals for change.

Not yours... theirs. I won't hold my breath.
