I won't stay, I'm too reliant on one team, if they win the cup and put together a string of cleansheets then a slim chance maybe, but I very much doubt being top 10 come May

Basically, If Yaya Toure, Tevez, Kolarov, perform well for you then you will be in with a shout

I would hope and assume a lot of people in the top dozen or so are at least down to 7/6 transfers remaining. I have 6 left and am just outside the top 50. :x

Poor CT, everyone trying to guess his team. That's what you get when u reach legend status in winning a TFF weekly prize :P

I reckon you're in good shape there FUBU IMO a lot at the top have blown subs on recent opportunities which has only left them with a long injury list and players out of the cup. Now Toure gets suspended daggnabbit

Nani injured and now Arteta. I wonder how many were tempted to switch Nani to Arteta tonight? my finger was hovering over the transfer button. Resisted temptation in the end :D Thats about the only positive news I've had tonight.

The second half of the season has gone quite smoothly for me. Into the top 500 for the first time all season, a fully fit squad, and nine transfers left. If only the first half had gone so well :(

wow. 9 transfers left at this stage is veyr impressive. I'm the opposite to you. First half of the season went really well while and the second half has been a great let down to date.

I'm still on target for 1 team in the top 50 and one in the top 100. Ominous names circling in the top 100 now though - Mr Carrington has 3 team there, Mr Dibbs also with 3 and Andye with 2.

Not used to looking at leaderboards so there are prolly more usual suspects up there too?

Art - your transfers - how much each for cash?

Hello mate

Bill Aitken was up there last year , Dean Burdin has won competitions and knows how to play this game , Tim Mitchell appears on a lot of leaderboards and won The Times game a couple of years ago , Nigel Dodds and Geoff Pryor are top players - these are all in the top 50 . Bruce Baer is pretty good at top 2 finishes as well

Good luck for the rest of the season

Andy

Thanks for the response Andy. Mind you, not knowing that so many sharks circling had it's own comfort :D why did I have to ask!?!!

All the very best of luck to you for the rest of the season too.

hi all. So as we now approach a 2 week gap in the footie, i just wanted to know peoples current situation regards transfers and captain changes left at this point. I have 6 transfers left and 3 cc's with a team just languishing within the top 100. I think i am about par for the course with usage of cc's and transfers.

I've noticed Wilbert has gone a little quiet on this forum of late. He is posting all over the other forums. Could it be that your team has now reached the new heights of 4th and technically in a cash position due to Mr Allen occupying 2 spots, which is why you are keeping your hand close to your cheast?

Congrats by the way. Hope you conquer the Allen Monopoly.

Not much has changed since this quote in my top team. Amongst others, Saha's injury has not helped what little tinkering fumes I had left in the tank. On a positive note I have also a team in 66th with a few more changes to play with.

Top 10 with 3 weeks to go:

1 Lucy Lyon LL1 2922
2 Bill Aitken mcbrde rollersi 2906
3 Roger Limon team e 2891
4 Tim Mitchell Mitchells 2nd XII 2860
5 Dean Burdin Tony Dorigo 2851
6 Kate Millard katies heroes 2844
7 Matthew Allen Up the Town 2839
8 Ed Jones Clarach Rovers 2836
9 Matthew Allen Baines of my life 2833
10 Matthew Allen Puyol Curly Legends 2831

8th is as high as I've been all season, but I'm still 56 points off the cash. :(
Interestingly, it looks like Mr Allen is going to finish empty-handed, despite having 5 of the top 6 teams (I think it was?) at the halfway stage. Must be pretty galling.

Mr Allen must be feeling pretty low. To get 5 teams in the top 10 by the half way point and monopolising the top 3 throughout January (i think), cannot be luck at all. I thought he had to be a highly skilled player and had it in the bag for sure. I am not sure how 5 teams can all fall apart to a certain extent. I can understand 1 and even maybe 2 or 3 but to have all 5 get pulled back and overtaking is quite an accomplishment by the chasing pack or is it a case of Mr Allen self imploding? Either way, my money at this stage to win the whole thing would be on Dean Burdin in position 5. Of course I have no inside intel on transfer and captain changes remaining

Good luck jonesbones and djburdini. Hope you've got a solid fit team and enough captaincy changes and transfers to implement whatever plans you have :D

That's a pretty spectacular collapse there from Mr Allen. I assume his sides must have all been very similar :?

I think djburdini is going for a third consecutive top 10 finish. Very impressive consistency 8-)

Good luck to the fisoers still involved.

I'll just make a quick celebratory post-I've finally hit the leaderboard 8-) Not something to be that proud about but I was about 3000th at the halfway point so it's an achievement of sorts after a very disappointing first half :?

Also, I noticed some incredibly low scores in the fiso league last week. My 9 points from earlier didn't even get close to the record low, there were several in single figures, even a zero

Ive blagged my way into 2nd :P :

1 Roger Limon team e 3119
2 Ed Jones Clarach Rovers 3057
3 Lucy Lyon LL1 3054
4 Bill Aitken mcbrde rollersi 3053
5 Dean Burdin Tony Dorigo 3027
6 Tony Stirland Team C 3026
7 Dawn Harker Ellie The Elephant 3009
8 Tim Mitchell Mitchells 2nd XII 3002
9 Kate Millard katies heroes 2999
9 George Went THREEFS4 2999

Mr Limon would appear to be home and dry, but its bloody tight after that.
Sunday afternoon could get very messy!
