This is the best sitcom I've seen in ages :D

A bit Rising Damp-ish - Lee chasing the girl of his dreams and yet things always go wrong (a la Rigsby and Miss Jones)

The characters are all excellent and there are some great one liners.

Been around since 2006 so I'm slow off the mark but watching some of the re-runs on Dave.

I've started watching it earlier this year and it's just an avalanche of brilliant one liners. Tim Vine and Lee Mack are great in it.
How the hell it's been around for so long and no one's ever mentioned how fantastic it is to me, I do not know.

great show! If you like Lee Mack in this, you should check out some of his standup that gets repeated on Dave too :)

It really is superb. I only saw the latest 2 or 3 series 'live' but loved it immediately. I love the way you see, with hindsight, how they did a whole scene just to set up some one liners - but still keep a great storyline.

Lee, Tim and Miranda Hart are excellent.

Have watched it from day 1. A different flatmate these days, and of course Miranda left after the last series. There is a FISOer who went to see it recorded I seem to remember. It was canned for a while, but then came back - and I am not too sure whether it may have even switched channel at some point. Running repeats on Wednesdays, too after the lottery.

The title reminded me of Game On

Must admit only just caught this program a few weeks ago and also think it's great.
Very unusual for me to like a British sitcom i'm normally a Yank sitcom lover so this makes a refreshing change.
Must need to catch up though if it's been around for so long.

I finally got around to watching Being John Malkovich last night and it is one of the rare films I can recall in which I repeatedly caught myself laughing wildly out loud. The scene with Charlie Sheen and Malkovich is absolutely hysterical and the entire movie is part crazy and part thought-provoking. Credit to screenwriter Charlie Kaufman and director Spike Jonze for a small masterpiece. About 5 years later the same pair came through with the equally bizarre Adaptation, definitely on my Top Ten US films of the decade.

Is Pouzar losing his marbles :D this is the second time in as many days i have read a thread where he has added a totally out of context post.

I do agree about BJM though… utterly bonkers - i've never seen anything like it before or since.

Never quite got into this with the scenes being so forced in order to ram the one-liners in, but have got a few laughs from it up to tonight - but it's become so ludicrously egotistical that I can barely watch now. As if there would be this on off weird relationship between him and Lucy, it's like Lee Mack's dream has been made into a sitcom. :?

Have you seen 'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless mind'? It's another Charlie Kaufman classic.
