For the last six games he has averaged 7.8 points. My rivals have him. If I get rid of Moses I have 6.8, so can still afford him, but only for another week or so and then he's out of range unless I want to get rid of Dempsey or Bale.

WhyI won't do it:

1) I want to differentiate - I hate to imagine my friends' teams and mine being even more similar. So far this season I've differentiated with Sturridge ( 8-) ), Moses ( ), Sinclair ( :) ) and a cheapo defense that did OK. I like the feeling and it makes matchdays more fun.

2) Tactical reasons - Sunderland look to me like a counter-attacking team under MON, and they've racked up the points mostly against teams that try to keep possession - Swansea, Man City, Chelsea, Wigan. Their next four, while looking good on paper, are against other sides that like to play on the counter - they host Norwich and Arsenal and travel to Stoke and West Brom.

3) I just don't see him averaging 8 points per game for much longer. That would be RVP territory.

So instead I'm looking to do Ferguson -> Sigurdsson or Ben Arfa, leaning towards Sig because of set pieces. And because even though Ben Arfa did alright, Newcastle conceded 5 and Pardew might want to change things. Ideally though, the change would be for Hatem to play behind the striker.

That's it. If anyone has a reason I should still get Sess, please tell me now.
there was already a thread on Ben Arfa vs Sigurdsson here but I didn't want to usurp it with my essay.

I am WCing next week and Sessegnon is not currently in. He will not (obviously) continue to be Ronaldo'esque. However he could average 5ppg in upcoming difficult games which is a risk. We see these little runs of form all the time though. Then they always end for a while. I've missed the 'heavy' scoring of Yakubu, VDV, Larsson, Dyer (had him the whole time between his goals), Dzeko, Bosingwa (the most annoying one as he was a machine early doors) and more but had them all at some point; all their brilliant runs end; they don't continue for the rest of the season. I've missed the Sessesgnon boat by having Larsson for the past few games. This has been a feature of the season for me, that must be corrected and not getting Sessegnon is a part of that. [stubborn!]

Thanks Sutter, nice to know someone else is intentionally passing on him. And you have given me sound advice before. :)

Just waiting for the cup matches now before deciding on a transfer.

I'm with you on that as well, I don't want him as everyone around me seems to have him (those that I am trailing right now). I have him in my current WC team to make 0.1 but will switch him out for either Buszaky or McClean.

I WC'ed last week, and am very glad to say I brought him in :D

I try to ignore what others are doing/have done and concentrate on whether the player is playing well, is part of an on-form team and if I can afford him.

Might be different if I was a street behind though, I guess
