An 'FPL' button has been created for members to use as a link to their FantasyPremierLeague.com team.

This should appear next to the 'website' button under your posts and thus free up the 'website' link for something else.

To add your FPL team link go to your 'Profile' - see button top left of fiso webpages - and at the bottom of that 'edit profile' page is a space to enter the FPL url (an example url is provided). Please note you will need to correctly answer the 2 simple 'anti-spam robot' questions that are just above the fpl entry box before the changes to your profile are accepted (in future these answers are saved so it's just for the first time).

The FPL button hasn't been tested yet so let me know if any problems.

Can I ask which page within the FPL site you link to? Is it the My Team page?

Looks like the box into which you enter the url is too small - I've asked BD to increase the number of characters so that the '=1234' part appears.

Link to the "history page" as it contains your team ID.

ie.

http://fantasy.premierleague.com/M/entryhist.mc?id=189607

If you link to the "my team" page...

ie. http://fantasy.premierleague.com/M/myteam.mc

... this is no use, as the url doesn't contain your team ID. Anyone clicking on that link would only see their own team.

Working for me. (I also noticed for the first time that I won my head to head. Which was nice.)

If you change now, (as I have done too), remember your id will need amending in your profile to the new one you'll get when 09/10 registrations open at the end of next week!

Great stuff!

If you want your link to show your 'latest team' page rather than your 'gameweek history' page, you can simply replace "entryhist" by "eventhist" in the URL. I know it only takes one more click to get between the two pages, but I almost always click on someone's link wanting to see their team rather than their history.

Good tip - might I humbly suggest that we all do that?

Agreed, this is an excellent tip from Reds363,which would save most people time.
Perhaps ADMIN could amend the example shown on the profile page, under FPL Link, from "entrylist" to "eventlist" ?
(and whilst there, correct, under "other games played" CYKI's misspelling ? )

Does it always default to the latest gameweek?

Yes it will, as long as you simply have the following:

http;//fantasy.premierleague.com/M/eventhist.mc?id=1000

as opposed to something like:

http;//fantasy.premierleague.com/M/eventhist.mc?id=1000&event=38

How about more people start getting this sorted out in their profile?

I notice lots of people happy to dish out advice, but it would be nice to know if they were actually worth listening to or not.

:P

I agree - one or two who dish out advice have vastly inferior track records to those they are advising, who remain unaware of this as said "experts" have removed their www team links thus disguising this.

When people install their FPL icon link via their profile,I suggest they erase their team link from their www box at the same time, to keep things tidy.
