Don't get to see many movies but I saw this last night on a recommendation from a friend who has a similar sense of humour to myself.

It's a film following the fortunes of a real inbred geek family.

It is one of the funniest films I've ever seen.

Set your sky plus boxes for sunday 11.15 am.

It's refreshing as it's a PG, and just goes to show that I don't need swearing to make me laugh. Who'd a thunk it?

Deb: What are you drawing?
Napoleon Dynamite: A liger.
Deb: What's a liger?
Napoleon Dynamite: It's pretty much my favorite animal. It's like a lion and a tiger mixed... bred for its skills in magic.

Are you being serious here folks? I need to add a bit of realism to this thread. Napolean Dynamite is one of the worst films yer old da's ever had the misfortune to watch. I was so close to walking out, the only reason I stayed was to finish the rest of my bucket of popcorn. A truly awful movie, with an annoying as hell lead in the title role.

I can see how this can be a 'marmite' movie but I, for one, thought it was hilarious.

If we all found the same things entertaining, this world would be a dull place.

I mean, my wife can actually sit down and watch Eastenders and Coronation Street for gods sake!!!

Hairy muff. It's one of those, as you say, marmite movies. I hate marmite btw, filthy stuff.

wonder why you disliked this movie, yod? best high school movie ever. i loved it. specially emily kennard - the girl he takes to the dance, not the diminuite one he eventually plays tether ball with. emily's a bit catty at that point, but phwoar!

and pedro & his cousins with all the sweet hook-ups.

and his brother grating the huge block of cheese.

and when he goes to ride his bmx over the jump.

was there a prize at the bottom of your popcorn, yod?

I liked this movie, but it's style won't work for everyone. Every character is way over the top, but of course they are being ironic.
