Hi all

I did well in my SL last year but am seriously struggling this year and have lost a bit of interest as you can see.

I need some serious help as I am 100 points behind :oops:

Team 1
Hart

A Cole
Terry
Bosingwa
Riise

Malouda
A Young
Kuyt
Murphy

RVP
Aguero

27 transfers and 0.1m in the bank - i tried to jump on the easy Chelsea start that has never paid off...

Team 2
Cech

Richards
Bosingwa
Riise

Nani
Walcott
Downing
Murphy

Rooney
Torres
Campbell

29 transfers left and 0.9m left.

Any general advice appreciated.

I am surprised it is only 100.

Anyway, Malouda has to go and I would bring in VDV, I would also dump Cashley as you have enough Chelsea coverage. You have so many Chelsea and don't even have their best value player in Mata. See possible moves below.

Malouda --> VDV
Cole --> Value scoring defender (Walker, Warnock, Enrique perhaps)
Kuyt --> Silva

Hopefully my maths add up.

Team 2, I am amazed you held Torres after he had a 3 game ban, either lazyness or bad managment. Anyway, to important things.

Downing --> Mata
Campbell -->Silva

I would also have dumped Torres, but you inexplicably held him while suspended so why would you dump him now.

The above are the must changes you have to make in the coming weeks.

You could take a sledehammer to the teams but that would just make you the same as the teams doing well.

I'd be tempted to keep the semi-Chelsea block in Team 1 to be 'different' and be more 'conventional' with Team 2.

Beyond that there are hundreds of ways to go. If you let us know your starting ideas (e.g. I want to buy X and Y) then we can bounce off that.

Now I am pants at this FF stuff, even after 12 seasons, and the following may be the reason...

Team 1 at this point I'd only keep Hart, RVP and aguero and in team 2, cech, nani and Rooney... both teams may look good on paper...but as you are finding out, as am I, teams on paper just dont cut it... and as I seem to propose 8 transfers per team I best be ignored.... keep murphy in both?...only 7 transfers...yep continue to ignore me is the best decision

Have to say I agree with murf regarding keeping with your Chelsea defence.
You've somehow resisted the urge to switch them out while they failed to get more than 1 clean sheet in 10 :shock:. The damage has already been done to your team points - but you kept patience with them during the bad times - when they can get back on a run of clean sheets, you will make ground on the general masses who gave up on Chelsea defence.

Also agree with swiss' opinions:
Malouda is rarely in the starting XI so I'd switch to Mata.

In team 2 Downing, Torres and Campbell should be considered to transfer out.

Downing has been unlucky not to get a goal or assist - he's struck the post about 3-4 times this season so its been very frustrating for those who have kept the faith with him but at least he is knocking on the door trying to score.

Torres has scored twice but was sent off with a 3 match ban - why did you not notice his red card and transfer him out earlier?. You've kept him during the ban so I suppose you may as well keep the faith now. :?

DJ Campbell you should get rid of. He plays for QPR who are struggling to create any chances - oh and he broke his foot 2 weeks ago and is out for another 6 weeks!!

100 points is very achievable with so many transfers left. Be pragmatic and don't panic. Your Superleague is still on, an overall tff win is not!

yeah agree
if you have waited this long you might as well take the hit and wait, it cant go on that long, chels's worst run for many a year, though, as it is....

Lazyness is the answer re Torres and all other tfrs that are required.

Time to now take a serious look and get some points back.

100 points is do-able if I get a move on!!!
