Each month we’ll give you 5 free Streak credits (Admin - this means you can make predictions for up to 5 separate weeks in each month [and each of the 5 times you play you can enter a min 3 predictions with a maximum restricted by the number of predictions available that week] or you can also have up to 5 different streak predictions in the same week. The 1st month has 4 weeks so in one week you can have at least 2 goes at predicting streaks).
Each correct prediction will add 1 point to your Streak score (Admin - so the 'home bankers' will be easier to predict but to get a long 'streak' maybe you have to take on more risk or hope that all the 'bankers' come in each and every week on the same 'streak').
The longest Streak at the end of the month wins £2,000 (and 2nd wins £1k).
Predictions can be made up until kick-off of the first match of the round
GAME OVERVIEW
The aim of the game is to build a run – or Streak – of consecutive correct predictions from the range of matches available.
You have to make at least 3 predictions per week. Once you predict a match incorrectly your Streak will break, your score will be recorded, and it is time to begin another Streak.
You can predict either home win, draw or away win on fixtures from the English Premier League, Scottish Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League amongst others.
Every player entering Mirror Football Streak will be entered into the main league and the player who has the longest Streak for each game month (January to April) will win £2,000 and the runner up will receive £1,000. The player who has the longest Streak for the game month of May will win £1,000, and the runner up will receive £500.
Mirror Football Streak is free to play. Each month we’ll give you 5 Streak credits. How you use them is up to you - you can go for broke and predict on every game, or play slow and steady, predicting a few games each week to build your Streak score gradually.
Credits cannot be carried over into the next month, so make sure you use them all to maximise your chances of winning. There are no restrictions on how many credits you can use at one time; in fact, we recommend entering multiple Streaks (hedging your bets) to increase your chances of winning the top prize. Your Streak score is counted in chronological order.In the event that you have predicted the outcome of two matches kicking off at the same time, we will go by the order of the matches as per the Mirror Football Streak game page. In the event that a fixture you have predicted is postponed, your prediction will carry over to the new date/time for the fixture, provided your current streak remains in tact when the rearranged fixture takes place.
The monthly game periods are as follows:
January 2012: Weeks 5 to 9 inclusive (31/12/2011 – 03/02/2012)
February 2012: Weeks 10 to 13 inclusive (04/02/2012 – 02/03/2012)
March 2012: Weeks 14 to 17 inclusive (03/03/2012 – 30/03/2012)
April 2012: Weeks 18 to 21 inclusive (31/03/2012 – 27/04/2012)
May 2012: Weeks 22 to 24 inclusive (28/04/2012 – 19/05/2012)
