I didnt want to do a thread asking for peoples opinions on what to do as i am capable of making my own mistakes but after a very very long time going over a million scenarios i clicked proceed.

I am currently top of 2 mini leagues with this team and playing for a total of £500

My team was

Schwarzer > Vorm

Enrique
Hangeland > K Walker
Shawcross
Jones

Mata
Nani
Silva

Rooney
Aguero
Suarez > Van Persie

I did think about going for smalling instead of walker but i figured walker has a poins per game ratio of 3 and has the extra game and easier fixtures so went for him.

I hated the idea of bringing Vorm in but it was a simple decision as Van persie had to come in and the only was was to get a cheap keeper, the fact he is doing very well made it an easy decision. I do plan on changing him again at the end of Jan and am hoping to make money for Hart as i still have 1 mil in the bank as we speak for the next window.

I am winning so bringing van persie in was a must as he was the only person who was making the league evn close as he was becoming a one man point machine so i fgured with my strong forward line which i am hoping will be very similar to those below me as theres no catching if you have the same team :)

I dont need to take risks and i do think vorm is a risk but as keepers are not the biggest point scorers it was worth it and the fact the team in second has caulker it counter acts that.

Just really want to see if people have the same opinion or if they think i have made a mistake or what they would have done.

thanks

Vorm is a bit of a risk, but with Schwarzer out you needed a cheap keeper. I feel that not squeezing Vermaelan in could be costly to you though.

I've finally had the balls to gamble on my transfers for my only team in contention:

Schwarzer  Szczesny :D

Kaboul :|
Enrique :)
Hangeland  Vermaelan :D
Mertesacker :|

Mata :)
Dempsey  Bale :)
Silva :D

RVP :D
Aguero :D
Suarez :? Gamble

Overall I think its a pretty strong team. Big gamble on leaving Suarez in, and on not putting Jones in, but I figure that provides me with a big differential that will either see me rise like a rocket or sink like a stone.

i kind of agree about vermalen however i see you dont have rooney in your team and i feel missing him will be alot worse than missing vermaelen.

my idea is to bring back in a keeper in europe at the next transfer window. i also see some moves in the transfer window that could appeal, especially if utd dip into the transfer market

Good point about Rooney, I was trying to squeeze him in but couldnt find a way. I was hoping he wouldnt do much until TW4 but it does seem like he and united are starting to hit form again :(

I have been winning my league for the past 3 months but just before the transfer window i have gone 15 points behind.

we have 38 entries for a prize fung of £760 to the winner.

I have made a error in my previous transfers and it has cost me as i am now in second

my current team is -

vorm

walker - enrique - shawcross - jones

mata - silva - nani

v persie - rooney - aguero

the team at the top is

hart

shawcross - collocini - jones - brown

mata - bale - silva

v persie - rooney - aguero

as you can see i have only 4 players different but that has made him catch up 30 points since the last transfer window.

i am thinking of afew options but i need to catch and i just dont see me having to take massive gambles as yet.

I have a feeling he will only be making 2 transfers and thats shawcross and brown for walker and enrique to try and keep his team the same as mine so i cannot catch.

i am thinking of 3 options and want opinions

option 1

vorm - krul this will match his collocini and will mean any newcastle clean sheet is balanced
shawcross - kompany this will be a better option that his city keeper as konpany seems to get alot of 7's and star man
nani - dempsey this will be a gamble as he will have bale so if dempsey carries on the way he is it should help decrease the small gap

option 2

vorm - reinna this is due to liverpol being on a run and improving and also have a extra carling cup game and fa cup.
nani - dempsey for the same reasons as above
shawcross - asso ekotto he seems to have alot of points and spurs are playing very well

option 3

vorm - hart as hes the best keeper and coming to form aswell as city have europa
shawcross - kaboul i see this as a risk as dawson is back but he has alot of points and should keep his spot
nani - bale this is a risk as he has bale but i just cant decide either bale or dempsey

any help and opinions is appreciated and i am just thinking of the bets option as its for a good chunk of money. i am honestly swaying to option number 1 but i would like to know the communities thoughts.

Id just do Nani to Bale.

Up to you whether you use the 1m to rejigger defenders (Evans, BAE, Kaboul, Huth).

If it was me I'd do the Bale transfer but also be tempted to swap Aguero to Suarez as a differential. Would also consider putting P.Jones in defence but not sure

ok got a real dilema.

my current team is

Vorm

Walker - Enrique - Jones - Shawcross

Mata - Silva - Nani

V persie - Rooney - Aguero

i am in second place but only 15 points behind and this is to win £760

The winning team is

Hart

Wes Brown - Collocini - Jones - Shawcross

Mata - Bale - Silva

Rooney - Aguero - Van Persie

I also know he will only being transfering wes brown for oshea.

Ok my dilema

I have 2 options i am thinking about

Nani, Mata & Vorm for Bale, Krul and Dempsey

or

Nani, Silva & Vorm for Bale, Hart and Dempsey

in reality it who will score most in these 2 combinations

Mata & Hart

or

Silva & Krul

mata and hart have the most games combined but silva has the skill to get starman every game he plays adn the fact the guy at the top has collocini means krul would counter that.

help please as i have been thinking about this all week and still cant make my mind up

Newcastle have some tricky fixtures and possibly only 6/7 games, so i wouldn't go Krul.

Vorm  Sorensen

Walker - Enrique - Jones  Essou-Ekotu - Shawcross

Mata - Silva - Nani  Bale

V persie - Rooney - Aguero

you're already edging your bets with different defenders from different clubs, so now you 'live and die' each week with 2 Spurs, 2 Stoke and 1 Liverpool & Bale, it will still work better than your initial thoughts

Then TW5 take your risks if you are still behind (but i doubt it)

not having jones is a big risk as he can be a points machine. according to physioroom he is due back on the 11th.

he was poor this transfer window but he was also injured most of it.

i am tempted for ekotto but with regards to sorensen stokes cs record isnt exaclty amazing and although you have alot of games this window i think most will be losses especially heavy loses against valencia. are you sure ur opinion isnt blinded due to being a stoke fan? especially as sorenson has scored such little points this window

so sorry for being 'blinded due to being a Stoke fan' but being part of winning 37000 pounds in 2 seasons i won't bother trying to help anymore wideboys ....

i wasnt meaning for that to come of in a negative way, i was simply wondering what was pushing you towards stokes keeper due to him having poor points per game and i hard run of games.

congrats on your winnings aswell. i

Because you already have Shawcross & Walker, so that 2 defences you rely on, so adding 1 more of each enhances your points tally for clean sheets, but your defence atm is looking for 4 clean sheets a week.

Stoke, spurs and liverpool are in the cups, so a few extra games etc:

Your front 6 are the same, so you will stay in touch (at worst) anyway but if Stoke and Spurs get 3 or 4 clean sheets you will be way ahead ......

But it's your team so go with your gut feeling

i do understand your points and they do make some sense,

i am only looking at the fact city are looking very solid and have started to keep alot of clean sheets and stoke havent had the best run this season. so i am worried i will lose alot of ground if he has hart.

i also understand what you mean about 2x each team for clean sheets.

are you advising i dont look at dempsey? the guy in third does have dempsey so i would be worried he will catch especially if he carries on the way he did last T. he is currently 48 points behind myself.

that and silva only got 28 points in this tw but i think he will be better once toure is back and he has alot of games this window with europa especially if they qualify.

there are so many factors which is why i am finding it hard to decide.

We are playing for £600 and it seems its between me and one other person as everyone else is over 100 points away with very similar teams.

I am currently 1 point in the lead

I need to get some opinions on the way to go this transfer window. we only have 3 players different but i will list both full teams below and see what people think i should do.

My team

Hart
Enrique
Shawcross
Jones
walker

dempsey
bale
mata

aguero
rooney
van persie

His team

Hart
collocini *
Jones
W Brown *
Shawcross

Silva *
bale
mata

Rooney
V ersie
Aguero

know i have looked at afew options myself

Enrique - collocini
Bale - Valencia
Jones - Evans

or

Bale - Silva
Jones - Collocini
Shawcross - Lescott

All opinions are welcome and just hoping someone gives me a good idea i haven't thought about
