Any more updates on if he'll start against West Brom on boxing day?

Just a hunch but I think Zab might play in this one.

Mancini said he expects him to be fit.

Also said he was like glass, gets injured every game. Zabaletta's played very well, and with Clichy available again would not surprise if he was rested if there was any doubt whatsoever about his fitness.

Richards is too important to their attacking play, can't see him not playing if he's fit.

Agree he does get forward well but with Silva, Balotelli, Aguero, Nasri, Ya Ya and Milner (or Dzeko, Johnsoon etc etc) I think Mancini would back them to cope!

Can't fault that logic, but remember that Mancini's Plan A in terms of setting up a team is that full-backs (not wingers) provide the attacking width - originally this was supposed to be Boateng on the right (Richards' form had slumped at the time) and Kolarov on the left. So now that Mancini actually has a full-back who can play like he wants, we shouldn't be surprised to see Richards used to the maximum his fitness allows.

All very well Rchards having the attacking potential but I think Kompany is the more solid pick?
