Good :) Looks like it's the same rules as last season apart from they seem to have changed the slightly confusing sub rules so it's just up to you to bring your sub in and out as you want.

Also freshened up the web site a bit, added a 451 formation, and increased the top prize to £25,000. I suggest we all email them and recommend they backdate the prize money for last years winner Image

Think it's £20,000, according to terms and if you add the total prize money up.

Does that mean they've stuck with the 5 teams each rule? I promised myself last season that if they did this I wouldn't play again this time... :(

I'm in the same position Dr B, so what I will do is enter 5 teams and after 4 weeks whichever off the 5 is doing best that's the one I will concentrate on and just discard the rest. Makes life a lot easier. :D

It should be better with one team per person.
Does anybody know the League Pin?

Yes that's what I (attempted) to do last season. The thing that made me want to stop playing is that I just couldn't help managing every team, even the ones in 51,386th place! Sp4 commented on the Virgin FF thread that the Metro UI is now really nice to use (if your PC was made after 2001 ;)) so that's an encouragement.

The other issue is the minileague. The first season (07/08) it was nice and simple and we did really well. Last season it was a real arse to sort out the multiple leagues we organised based on initial form and we didn't win anything in terms of ML prizes (iirc). If I do decide to enter this season I can't see that anyone will bother to create FISO organised league which removes most of the fun for me.

Every time I try and enter my team I get this message "Parameters are invalid". Can anyone explain what this means :?

Sorry pa, I haven't a clue. I guess your best bet is to email them from the website.

As proof of my lack of willpower and conviction I have decided to enter this comp again

I've set up a thread for discussion about potential Metro minileagues here.

Yeah, you're right. Not sure where I got 25 from :?

DrB, you could enter five then use the worst four for manager of the month attempts. That way you don't have to give up on them completely but only have to worry about one extra team each month 8-)

I didn't write the pin of my superleague ( see top post) down , assuming I would be able to see it when I log in - like you can with your team pin
Have emailed them but no joy as yet , and am on my jollies for a week now , so if you do want to join , just mail me and I'll sort it out when I get back

I did the same thing. Just pick 'invite your mates', stick your own email address in, and you'll email the PIN to yourself :)

One entry per person it states ...The 'Burrows' have 11 in the top 17, just makes a mockery of it all.

i discussed this with them before the competition started.

i suggested they put in the rules ' any evidence of one person managing more than 1 set of 5 teams will result in ALL related entries being disqualified'

i said that my view was it was 1 entry per id if they did not do this.

i felt it made a joke of the comp if they didnt ever disqualify 'obvious' multi entries

i must admit i never read the t&c.

i see they settled on this, not really one or the other. in fact pretty much between the two and open to interpretation in either direction.

in fact pretty much the hopeless gutless sort of terminology i expected

'Participants found to have registered more than five teams may be removed from the Metro Game, disqualified and not be eligible to win prizes.'

hopefully a few of you will e-mail to point out that yet again they are allowing multi entries and can you do it next year.

so hear we are a year on and gfm are still fouling this up and finding some new tricks in the ever deteriorating tff comp. if people don't switch to ytm next year i despair

Did you edit the main part of PNE's post in your quote or did he edit it after you quoted it? If the former could ask why?

I think because it should be Collishaw.
Collishaw is their team names which looks like at least 20 of them.Burrows is the surname who organised this I think. There are more Collishaw then Burrows. :) Julie Rutter's team name also Collishaw6 and Claire Hullett as well.

You should have kept on Collishaw perhaps, because that name is more obvious that this is a multi teaming. And there are more Collishaws than Burrows.. :)

Presumably they make good money out of the official FPL game? But I agree that CYKI is excellent and if you could persuade them to get together with betfair or another sponsor to get some decent prizes back I, for one, would be very happy.

All, I can say is that if someone has 17 teams in this game, it must be a full time job manging them all.

It takes time transferring in and out the Subs for Saturday/Sunday games as it is effectively a 12 man game and how they plan a strategy around captain changes would be interesting.

I manage my 5 teams in a Excel spreasheet but have already made one mistake of losing 9 pts by leaving Insua on the subs bench last night. I though I brought him into the team but may have forgot to hit the confirm button.

Having said all that, it will be interesting to see what the Metros response is.
