Could be a week to stick in.

Only problem I have is I don't really fancy playing Heinze at Stamford Bridge. Will give Lucho Gonzalez a run out though as he could score.

Anyone know much about Shakhtar? Know they attack well but who are most likely to do well from midfield?

I purchased Kenny Miller as he could do well.

Do you think Zhirkov will play? Am thinking it's a bit risky to play him.

Question for one of my teams defence.

Play Heinze away to Chesea or Antonsson (Copenhagen) away to Panathinaikos?

chelsea will probably score atleast two goals. Panathinaikos will win but not with a big margin

'5.30 DEADLINE FOR TEAM CHANGES TODAY!

The Champions League returns this week, with another round of top quality fixtures. Chelsea host Marseille on Tuesday, while Arsenal travel to Partizan without Cesc Fabregas or Manuel Almunia in the side. Spartak Moscow kick off the action at 5.30pm as they face MSK Zilina, while Jose Mourinho's Real Madrid have a trip to Auxerre.

On Wednesday it's another early start as Rubin Kazan take on Barcelona at 5.30pm. Tottenham host Dutch champions FC Twente and Manchester United travel to Spain to face Valencia aiming to bounce back from the draw at Bolton on Saturday. European Champions Inter Milan are at home to Werder Bremen, while Rangers take on Bursaspor.

So why not head to the website now and make a few transfers, captain changes or substitutions to your team - all team changes for this round must be made by 5:30 pm today, so don't get caught out. '

possible word of warning on milito as he is being reported as a doubt

that is the $64,000 question :)

It will no doubt come back to haunt me, but i have benched him/transfered him for this week. With no automatic subs in this game to benefit you if he doesnt play, he is a risky proposition!

I would be surprised to see Barca chance him tomorrow, maybe an appearance from the bench if things arent going well... which could still be pretty damaging to my hopes!

Disaster for me. Captained Wellington, Boriello and Sturridge in my best three teams. And benched Zhirkov in all teams.

Dropping like a stone tonight me thinks.

Eto'o as captain would yield 250 on my reckoning. There will be a few of those around.
VDV had an interesting night 15 + 25 - 10 - 10 = 20
Those who missed the 17:30 cut-off yesterday and were left with Messi as captain will have picked up 10 points.
O'shea did an O'shea and picked up 5 points (although no part c/s in this game that I can see)

Good week for me, my top team now on 970 points (me thinks).
Goals from Terry, Arshavin, Anelka, Chamakh, Sneijder (captain), and Eto'o chipping with three and an assist. :D :D :D

Hi Nabby

Yep well remembered I did indeed win this last year :)

Bearing in mind that the rules are completely different to last season, I'm feeling chuffed with that start! I still prefer last seasons game format though

Good luck for the rest of the comp!

Cheers BB.
I remember it well - I finished 12th and still harboured some hopes whilst Barca were in the tournament.
Agree that the old format was better - still proving to be an enjoyable game though.
All the best.

140 pointsfor Bale I make it.
85 for Eto
and 65 for this weeks obvious captain pick
All in all a good week for a fair few I think.
Shame it's not me.

Did the same thing myself Richard  , don't you just love squad games  .

Did leave him in a couple of teams made after the first week, but they are a long way behind (maybe not so far now). :)

Squad game with 25 transfers to boot...and no mid gamesweek opportunity to use either subs or transfers:?
I don't know about everyone else but I'm finding it tough to know when best to use my transfers.

Tell me about it Chucko i am the same.

Got Bale in all my teams but my captains have done eff all. The leader of any comp goes for safety and gets mugged. Of course it will always happen especially when somebody 'foresees' a player getting a 3 timer.

It's free to enter so i cant say im too arsed.

So is the skysports game (free to enter) and i'm doing OK (for now)
