.....the Dow Jones has had its 6th worst day in history.

IIRC, only the UK hasn't entered a technical bear market yet. The US has, along with Germany, Brazil, China, Russia and most of the Eurozone.

The refusal to tackle problems when they arose was always going to lead the can coming back up the road with interest. And now here we are. Sadly, it has all been thoroughly predictable.

In investment terms, keep the tin hat on, try not to think of the short-term pain, and wait for the time when you can invest safely again.
