I see at the Sony Open the PGA Tour have actioned a new rule to limit the size of the field at the weekend.

Basically the players in question have made the cut, get prize money and Fed Ex points, but don't get to play at the weekend!

The live scoring has MDF next to them, which stands for "Made cut Did not Finish".

So I guess that means the players in question would get 2 points for making the cut?

For the purposes of the TG Winter competition, these players will indeed be awarded two points for "making the cut" as it were...

However, decisions will need to be made for future competitions. Trust the Americans to make things complicated!
