This might seem like a silly question but I really am struggling with this. Chelseas offense is in shambles, but Man U's D is not at full strength. De Gea will more than likely be in goal, he is terrible in the air and Mata takes the corner kicks. However Swansea is at WBA who has given up their fair share of goals, he has looked something special in the three games he has played scoring 12 points with limited playtime.

Playing Bale, Silva and Sess in MF already but need a 4th. All 5 is not an option this GW.

It is a close call.
Swansea will keep more possession even though they're away, Gylfi will have more time on the ball than v Chelsea because WBA play two in midfield, and he should get at least one good chance from a free kick.
But anything can happen in a game like Chelsea - Man U and it doesn't help that Lampard is facing a fitness test so you don't know who is on pens.

If I were you I'd play both and bench Sessegnon away at Stoke, but I might be saying that because I don't have him and want him to stop scoring.

I'd go with Mata. a close call, but I think Chelsea -Man U will be quite an open game for once and Mata is quality, despite the front men struggling.

It's worth considering that Mata will have a lot of defensive work to do in helping Bertrand/Bosingwa stop Valencia.
And that he's played 90 minutes twice in the past week, as have most of the Chelsea team.

looks to me like some people are overcomplicating things. Mata is in for way more points than Sigurdsson this gameweek, it's not even a close call.

Is this Sigurdsson a starter? Not seen much of him but Norwich up next looks a good fixture.

Is he playing behind the striker?

So it comes to down to bonus points... the definition of a close call? :)

Yes and yes. So far he's been subbed off a a couple of times when Swansea were in the lead, but that was probably also due to him not being 100% fit. He completed 90 mins against WBA so the signs are good.
