Hi

been working on a little project over the last few months.

The aim of the Martin Arnold Project is a global village (nothing too grandeous).
Being a systems analyst type I'm good at working backwards. project launches on 2-2-12 (when the post christmas Blues arrive through the letterbox). Someone mentioned the religious significance of this date to me so I looked it up - middlemas

I am setting up email addresses on gmail for people who want to be involved.

My project is MaPiT and I can drop off a PowerPoint thingie about that once you are set up. Have a go yourself it's all about sharing stuff after all.

example email address - if I was to join up

maj2011@gmail.com
of course you need to choose a password yourself (pm me with that)

that's all for now folks - take care.
Map the skies - and have a good Christmas.
Never hide in the shadows.

btw

anyone near Leeds this sunday?
I'm not a hawker - a mate does this thing at breeze events etc where he shows young uns how to play - one of his bands is the dogs - the guitarist is white, young and very Jimi H. The band didn't win the battle of the bands at pudsey park this year
http://www.myspace.com/trafficwire
http://www.leedsgigs.co.uk/event-46292.html
http://www.breezeleeds.org/

join a casino 4 free parking - down behind the armouries (free green tea, soft drinks, heated balcony & a chance to meet the barstaff etc don't forget to watch the gamblers)

car insurance due? cancel it and ring them back 5 minutes later. A good one for discounts. the classic - ring the final optionon tv internet phone providers to say you are leaving in two minutes - never lose your cool - just tell them

respect to razorback, murf and all the others who don't take the michael too much

recomended stuff -
man from earth (flix) see razor for the rest
nick cave (drive to work) mark e smith (drive anywhere), the church (chilled out aussies), freddie or debbie (drive to karaoke to prance around and hit all the wrong notes), X-cnn, joy zipper, warsaw (repect to mr wilson - not bad mate now it's our turn over the pennines - c'mon 8-) )
amsterdam (thomas cook - <£100 4 4 days from hull with 2 nights in a 4 * hotel, northern light? - clear for 2 years according to nasa (Manchester-oslo-tromso-ffordes - thomas cook again [same at coop travel etc], harrogate spa - taking the mrs on monday for a 2 dayer - she deserves it, later - mexico with alex, alaska - yummy
art - garry barker (send him the pyjamas with walnuts in the back c/o leeds college of art), vincent, monet, dali mike leigh, david lynch, razorback, spiritualized

I'm at it with the web site learning php and open source & (easy) flash this christmas - looks a bit like the universe with map in the middle - a bit abo apparantly - my friend mentioned that in the betting shop.

a 46 year old bloke - dad from north yorks mum from london.
I can do this - we can all do it
share everything
take the pleasure and pain
never judge - be happy
leave the carp to the others - just let them fade away - get your mask on [in the steam room & work]
we are all peers on this planet

jam - ok I flipped it for my id - sorry thought I deserved it (respect to chris morris)

Jimwinn - sounds intriguing (and good luck with whatever it is that you're doing) but, in the words of a famous Spanish waiter, 'Que?'

So what is the Martin Arnold Project?

You allocate people free gmail accounts if we tell you what password we want?

What else?

Has he en hacked or what? Not familiar with his previous work; but he has enough history to suggest he's not a spammer;

But that post looks like pure nonsense. Not even PCP could explain that one.

As expected Razor has the most to give here

It is a free sharing of anything that I'm after

Can't remember the last time I took drugs - most people take drugs to lose control (error) and mask the pain of there existence - the disappointment of unfullfilled dream. They also use drink, gambling, bullying, indulge in violence, live through their offspring & of course 2nd lifing

I see Fbook has done the trick

1st live music
2nd vinyl
3rd CD
4th 2nd lifers (good luck to you all - I prefer to experience life outside of emoticons)

get ready for the official launch on 2-2-12 (web launch, flash mobs, media outlets etc)

I posted this to help complete my MSc (elearning & multimedia) a study into viral growth

Think I'll just go for Youtube

Take care

Jim

cool - pcp hmm - I don't take drugs - when I was a young un we dabbled for a year at college where I failed miserably. The fact that there were 650 girls and 11 boys in the first year might have helped too. I was a good old fashioned catholic boy who found out many things that year.

I went from a full on Mercury fan to Warsaw, the cure, nick cave, mark e smith, crass, pyschik tv (throbbing gristle were just too noisy) and one young lady hooked me early and eventually broke my heart when her ex rowed in (he has a large chap at Oxford who liked boats). Being a bit of a geezer I managed to avoid the traditional beating. In fact I am proud to say that I've never been in a fight in my life. We had a play at being moody (the band was called HMC [His Mothers Corpse] - me, gareth hughes and a couple of his mates. Later on I was in another band with Pete Simpson + my best mate and a drum machine. I'll dig out the stuff we recorded on the 8 track and post it somewhere - pretty amazing stuff (and there was no need to pay / transport the drummer). That was in Luton (mid 80's) check it out because the whole thing was a fit up by the police. Whatq they didn't know was that one of them (the brother of the super) was also a raver. When the 65 e tabs were 'found' the case went to Birmingham and collapsed. Anarchy? not really just people dancing in the streets and barns etc.

If anyone knows Pete Simpson (Peterboro?), Gareth Hughes (Brighton?) and of course Eileen (Jersey?) then please point them towards this forum. MaP is coming 2-2-12.

I love this asynchronous communication method - so much better than face to face. See you on Sunday Zim?

Haven't really got much of a clue of what's being expected of me and/or what I'm meant to do but like yourself I am intrigued so I'm in as well (won't have time to sort out the gmail address etc until the weekend though)...

I'll keep it short then - set up a gmail account and I'll send you a PowerPoint with my bit - MaPIT.

Systems analysts work backwards.

CU at the gig chaps. I'm not going to youtube it - you can't really appreciate a live event 2nd hand.

Take care

Jim

oops the gig does cost after all:

http://www.leedsgigs.co.uk/event-46292.html

four quid for adults
three for < 16s and
free for <10s

still not bad for 8 bands. take it or leave it folks. I'm not a hawker just a bit carp with money (we all hate it really)

So... If you are setting up an old fashioned mail list you don't need my password - just the email address.

If you are setting up a website... also you don't need my password.

Explain...
