Hi all,

Off to sunny(?) Menorca for 2-weeks on Saturday, and I have spoken to three different people now and all have said getting to Luton Airport is a pain at the moment due to roadworks on the roundabout just off the M1.

We have a 7.15am flight, but one friend was stuck for 1hr 20mins from Toddington up to the Airparks in Slip End at 4.30am, which is where we will be leaving our car.

Any FISO experiences of Luton recently?

Ta.

Come off a Jncn or 2early.

I used to fly from there quite often, or get a train

Jncn 9 on to the A5, then turn right to Slip End, and under the M1......

Airparks already paid. Don't you have to use the roundabout in question regardless of the route, though?

Edit: I am coming from Northampton.

I'm having a RVP rising .9m moment, aren't I? To get to Slip End off the M1 junction for Luton Airport you double back under the motorway anyway, don't you? So, I get off at jnct 12 to Dunstable, joining the A5, and then only the bus has to cross the roundabout just the once. Just call me Sat Nav. Thanks blah

I've only ever hit it from the south. Train?

(Oh and the East, which goes through Luton.)

Yes, the road goes under the M1, as I said

Which Airparks are you using?
