My defence is undoubtedly pretty cheap but looking rather weak.

As a Liverpool fan, my players are misfiring and I'm suffering on two fronts when they do.

Already cleared out Downing for Bosingwa and now considering the following moves to get rid of Suarez and Enrique and upgrade my defence.

Let me know what you think...

Given
Bosingwa
Enrique -M Richards
Warnock - P Jones
Riise (possibly to Murphy in a 343 at a later date)
Silva
Young
Nasri
Rooney
Aguero
Suarez - Adebayour

I know Pool have relatively easy games coming up and on another day Suarez could have bagged a hat-trick but the above changes would give me two extra games from Ade and a more balanced looking team.

Have 25 transfers left currently.

Look forward to hearing your comments.

Thanks in advance.

All of the above seem like unnecessary tinkers to me...

If you believe Ade will outscore Suarez over the season then do it.

Putting city/ utd defenders in today is suicide(unless you think the outcome will be 0-0 of course)

Good luck with whatever you decide but if in doubt do nothing.

Guys I need some Man City / Man Utd cover in defence.

I need funds though which is why I'm prepared to ditch Suarez for Adebayour and get the two extra games as well.

If you look at the final 11 I would be left with, surely most will be season long with no real need for tinkering?

Basically it's Suarez / Enrique / Warnock VS Adebayour / Richards / Jones.

Can't afford to fall further behind in my super league so this is a big decision.

I'm happy if this move scuds my beloved Liverpool into glorious form and would gladly sacrifice my ff team for this to happen.

More feedback needed please! Thanks for everything so far.

Interesting post, as this is bound to enrage a few die-hard 'Pool fans...but although the league position is healthy they as a team are seriously under performing compared to the transfer outlay. Downing & Carroll performing poorly....

To be brutuslly honest, I don't think one combo of players is any stronger than the other so you will be making needless transfers if you go ahead with this...

Razor you don't think that two man Utd and city defenders are better than Villa and Liverpool?

Which leaves Suarez vs Ade. I think Spurs are favourites for 4th and have 2 extra games with Ade sure to be a high scorer. For all his flair I am yet to be convinced by King Luis' finishing ability.

Nope, if both Utd & City were keeping a significantly higher number of clean sheets than other teams then you'd have a good enough reason to contemplate this transfer but as they aren't you don't.

Just my opinion of course, if you truly believe this is the right move then you should go for it...

Pointswise (real and TFF) yes but at times we totally outclassed Norwich yesterday and it could easily have turned into a 5-0 romp and maybe even Downing would have shifted from his 2pt position  .

It didn't obviously but the next 2 games are still relatively easy and the next 2 weekends are also Liv on Sat and Spurs on Sun.

Right thing to do IMO as it's already a pretty solid team...

I think that Pool fans are letting their loyalties cloud their judgement. Without Euro millions from Champs league they are always going to be 'also-rans'...even if they do have a big transfer budget (for now).

Hey I'm all for having a dig @ Liverpool fans but does this really have any relevance to this this thread :?: :? ...

I think you need to make a decision with Silva / Nasri... They rarely both seem to start and Silva looks on fire right now so not sure how much game time Nasri is going to get :?:

Yes good point Kevchenko. I'm watching Nasri closely - although he always seems to do well when he plays.

If you were holding and hoping then maybe yes. I have a feeling it could be an overdue goalfest today then you may think again

So much for the goal feat Murf! Time for Suarez to go I think and maybe Enrique too.

Gutted and FF team doing cr*p too which doesn't help.

Damn you Van Persie - and you too Rooney!

Why Enrique? Liverpool aren't having any troubles at the back right now, they are one of the more solid defenses in fact!

enrique seems to be the one value player they have, & despite the hype suarez isn't really getting many points (not in this game anyway, i know the sun top him up with star mans when they can).

Don't think our defence is great to be honest and wouldn't be too impressed by clean sheets against West Brom and Swansea.

I need the cash from Enrique to Danny Murphy for my next cunning plan for which I will reveal in a new thread.
