This lot are still there (QFs this weekend)
Arsenal - Gervinho (Ivory Coast),

Newcastle - Tiote (Ivory Coast)

QPR's new loan signing Samba Diakite won't be free to join them until Mali is eliminated.
(Can't come a minute too soon if it means the end of Warnock's protegee,the dreadful Sean Derry.)

Aye, I've known about that for a while. As a City fan, I'm gutted we'll be losing Yaya again next season.

I can understand the reasoning for the switch to odd-numbered years but it's just plain greedy to have two in two years. Looks like we'll need another one of these threads next winter.

That BBC link is quite old as it lists the original choice for hosts - Libya. :lol:

It has of course since been moved (to South Africa). The choice of Libya and the selection of Equitorial Guinea tells you everything you need to know about the African Football Federation.
