From a dodgy translation site -

Anders Lindegaard will resemble a new first-goalkeeper in Manchester United with a clean cage on Saturday...

I'm sure Fergie will be happy he has got a goalkeeper with a "clean cage"

Pleasant change from the Mark Bosnich days I guess.

On a serious note, I don't think Fergie knows himself which is number 1, yet.

I see a lot of people WCing him in, but he's obviously a rotation threat.

I just think it's a bit risky, especially when some are opting for Ruddy as backup.. the man who's religion states, must not prevent a goal in 90 minutes! :o Ruddy is an awful pick, and bemused as to why some have him in for WC.

Ruddy is (or was) the cheapest keeper who plays regularly (hence gets app and save points, and may one day keep a clean sheet). You may not agree with picking him but you should at least find it less bemusing...

I could have sworn Fergie said recently that De Gea is still #1. But then gave reasoning on why the dane is still earning his spot to rotate in.

hard call. might give him a shout and then go back to sorrenson if he loses a share in rotation.

It's definitely not clear cut and think Fergie will just bounce them off each other to try and get them both improved.

As always, it's in his best interests to keep players motivated, and not destroy their morale and confidence, regardless of what his actual agenda is. He consistently talked up Ben Foster when Van der Sar was out, immediately replaced him on VdS's return, then eventually sold him

De Gea will remain the long term #1 I reckon, but I wouldn't expect to see him play many games against teams that focus on set pieces with giants in the box, because he cannot handle it at the moment.

I put Lindegard in earlier this week with my wildcard, but have changed my mind... Apart from Stoke I wouldn't back United to keep a clean sheet in any of their next few fixtures. I've opted for Sorensen instead alongside Vorm.

In general, as a a red, Lindegard is the type of keeper I prefer playing for us... Big, commanding, confidence-inspiring, and a great shot-stopper.

I got Lindegaard ahead of the busy christmas schedule, expecting young De Gea to get rested a couple of games, and I read a few United fans saying Lindegaard was better anyway. It's worked out well, and even looks like he might be first choice now. I'm keeping him for sure. I'll probably sell Vorm with the wildcard. The plus with him is he's a beast against penalties, but i'd be amazed if he racks up anything like the same number of points in the second half of the season. Nothing points to that happening.

And how much did Swansea pay for Vorm? Arguably the best 'keeper in the league this season!

When i watch De Gea, I always fell there is a mistake just around the corner. The same feeling i get with David James and Gomes.

Just thought I'd post the same thing here for those who did not check up on the goalkeeper-combo thread

Quote:
Manchester United's goalkeeping crisis deepened on Monday when David de Gea called in sick and Anders Lindegaard left the training ground on crutches.

At least we'll know who's in goals for Man Utd before the deadline. Possibly Kuzczsak.

Lindegaard with a bit of a hobble won't be much different to what United are recently getting used to... he'll play :)

Fook. I need this injury like I need an Everton player on a double gameweek.

True but he doesn't have that super quiff that might one day stop a shot on goal, it nearly worked on Saturday.

If Lindegaard plays tonight, can we assume that he's the number one?

If he's had a scare then if they are interchangable then there would be no issues popping DeGea in?
