I thought it was pretty good - not the best episode but enjoyed it none the less. The plot thickens.......... loved the GT6 - always liked the idea of owning one

A request here.

Can we keep this thread at BBC 1 pace please, as; I don't have access to BBC4 on a Tuesday night.

No comments about tomorrow's episode except to say that you shouldn't miss it! I just watched it last night and it's <mppghhgmmgggggppphh>... Image

Have to say, while it was good, it wasn't quite as good as the first. Did love the;

"Sorry Ray, I forgot you had problems with words with more than no syllables."

or... "You're surrounded by armed bustards!"

Actually I disagree and think it was twice as good as the first episode. More coppery, less flashback nonsense.

I think theres two shows to LIFE ON MARS

1. 2006 copper in 1973 and how his principals relate and affect.
2. How 2006 is in 1973 and why.

I love the first aspect, but I'm watching for the second. I bet you nash, are more the other way round.

Watched tonight's episode last night (recording of the BBC4 'preview').

I'm really loving this series and thoroughly recommend tonight's (BBC1) show. One of FISO's favourite bands, The Inkspots, even get a mention!

I think it's been postponed on terrestrial, they're showing some comedy from Reading instead...

Ah, probably explains why there isn't a BBC4 one either.

 OK, I thoroughly recommend next tuesday's episode on BBC1.

From http://www.radiotimes.com/ListingsServl ... etails.jsp

UPDATED LISTING: Owing to Match of the Day replacing Life on Mars on BBC1, BBC4 will no longer be transmitting the series in advance and will instead show a repeat of the series starting tonight with episode one of series 2.

While the funniest episode of the series so far, I have to say I thought it was just too silly and probably the worst episode they've done.

Two to go though.

I thought it was superb. This series just gets better and better. Maybe the cop story wasn't that great and the one episode characters were a bit stereotyped (although I thought Big Bird was genius) but the interplay between the main characters was phenomenally good.

Last nights was a strange one - all over the place with the dialogue but still enjoyed it.

So many great one liners - and also so many comments which show how poor our attitudes were in the 70's.

Not the greatest pc lover but I am relieved that I go "you can't say that" so many times during each show.

Thought he was going to father his own girl friend at one stage.!!

not seen this week's episode yet, it's safely stored on tape for later this week.

have to say though last week's camberwick green take-off was absolutely immense!

"what's the matter sam? is it gene hunt? is he kicking in a nonce??" fantastic! :D

loving this series, as someone who doesn't watch much tv. mix of 70's vs 2006 culture clash, and the increasingly surreal visions that sam is victim to is enjoyable, and the two leads john simm and philip glenister are excellent.
