Waste of airtime, waste of money.
When the BBC loses their tax money one of these days, this shite thankfully will disappear.

...totally disagree with you lads. I have loved it since I was about 6 when my old man got me into it. Tonight I let Mini Ledge stay up sith me and although he didn't make it to the best bits he genuinely told me he loved the other bits i.e. the red button and channel two stuff :D

I'm first and foremost a Brit before a Scot which is very unusual and told Mini Ledge tonight that it was wierd to cheer on the Union Jack as there were so many against it (not in so many words like  ).

I find X Factor, etc horrendous and although there are times in my house whan I have to be put therough the agony I appreciate there are folk that like the programme I won't make an issue of it. Why can't we listen to some decent music played by some of the most amazing musicians and some incredible performances by opera folk for one evening?

I'm really pissed (Mrs Ledge is in Prague) and can barely type but am feeling quite angered by your small mindedness ** swings Flag Of The Union **

Here here, Ledge. I had another engagement tonight but usually I watch. There are many who will have enjoyed tonight. If you don't like it then there are either the on/off button or another channel.

Many proms fans probably think far too much sport is covered on TV.

I can't stand loads of things in life/on telly but take it on the chin. If you can't stand the folk on the show but actually watch then I find that quite funny  If you don't like the 'idea' of them then I can understand. There was a guy in the front row this evening whoc was probably in his late 50s who I initially took a bit of a 'toff' attitude to but why can't someone enjoy an evening out I thought. Some folk enjoy quiz nights or karaoke FFS  Don't judge.

Give love peeps :D

Yeah, that thread spanned two years. And MOTD wasn't later than advertised this year.

The Proms is fantastic, the music is awesome, you simply have to love the pomp and ceremony ;-)

I was at Proms in the park, what a great day, first time ive been, I shall definitely be going again, I cant recommend it enough. To see such passion is fantastic.

Good show all round :D
