If Saha makes way up front it would be potential gold. Though I'll take him on the left of midfield. Or behind the striker?

I'd consider Donovan, but that rules out getting an Everton defender as well.

Managed a point every 16 mins on his last visit to England.

He is a hard worker and Moyes will probally prefer him to Drenthe (who hasn't completed 90 mins yet). Drenthe fans beware

 Should I email them and remind them about Henry

Please do when he has signed, as they still need to get insurance and agreement from New York

It certainly stirs up the Everton midfield and striking options, coupled with Moyes comments about giving McFadden a start. Has anyone got an Everton midfield/striker that they're really confident will start both DGW games?

I'm considering Donovan for the double GW (and possibly beyond this) now he's classified as a midfielder and at a reasonable 7m price too.

However, I cannot see him starting on Jan 4th against Bolton....he may get final 15 mins or so? Also he may not start at Spurs and if he does I doubt Everton will get any goals there? Think Ive just talked myself out of bringing him in, for now

This is my problem too. Moyes plays his cards close to his chest too, so we might not know until it's too late. Still, he did hit the ground running last year and Moyes doesn't really have to worry about running him into the ground - it's more a case of whether he's fit. Having one spell of playing for Everton also means that Donovan won't need too much acclimatisation either.

I'm going back and forth on this one. Seems like a gamble too far for me, but one of my transfer options needs a midfielder of £7m or less for a few weeks, and he does seem to fit that like a glove!

If it weren't a double game week I wouldn't even think about him as this week's transfer; but as it is, it pretty much seems like a shot to nothing, even if it turns out to be for one week only. Worst case, he doesn't play at all, in all likelihood that's two points less than whoever he replaces.* And then a sub would come in anyway. Best case... well, even just one contribution would beat two points and he might get two goes at it.

*Edit: reading the transfers thread, that's Walters for you. It's Sinclair for me.

I notice that 3 FPL managers have already transferred out Donovan so far this gameweek - some people are never satisfied!

I currently have Ade, BAE, Baines and Drenthe and have 2 Subs this game week and am pretty much set on Bale for Nani and then bringing in Donovan to have the full complement of DW'ers.

I am mentioning this as a warning to steer clear of bringing in any of these players as I haven't been able to hit a cows arse with a banjo this season! :D

I find it bizarre FFS wrote this article about Osman the day after Donovan is added to the game without mention of the American. Also seems to be bigging up Osman over Drenthe.

The Guardian's squadsheet for the game vs WBA has Everton in a 4-4-2 with Osman as one of the "2"; also slightly surprising, maybe?

Yeah he has been floating behind the striker recently. I know, I know, what striker?

Hmm, as mentioned above he'll probably only get a few minutes in his first game, and I can see Spurs keeping a CS and on top of that he's still not guaranteed to play ... :?
