As there are 16 new teams, an additional division has been set up.
There is no fair way to decide who goes into Division 1 or Division 2.

So here's the drill (like it or lump it).

Division 1a will consist of 4 existing teams and 6 new ones.
Division 1b will consist of 10 new teams.

The 2 highest finishing of those 4 existing teams (Karrde, Demorgoth, Welsh Wizard and Erased Citizen) will secure promotion to the Championship.

The rest of you are effectively fighting for promotion to Division 1 proper.
So the highest 8 finishers (from both Division 1a and Division 1b) will form Division 1 for next season.

It will be a straightforward case of points, pts diff, pts for to decide those 8 managers.
It will be the points accrued from your 9 matches in your respective divisions are compared. I know this isnt a level playing field, but its as level as you're gonna get

2 teams from the Championship will still be relegated (completing Division 1).

Everyone else will form Division 2.

Karrde, Demorgoth, Welsh Wizard and Erased Citizen (if performing badly enough) are also eligible for relegation into Division 2.

Just checked the scores for my fixture against the Welsh Wizard and I concur Zimm...

Either way its my first 3 points! What a scalp...

Liverpool have already equalled their number of losses in the whole of last season, and I think I've just equalled my number of wins in the whole of last season!

How do I check if my score is correct. Is it just a case of going to each player on website and seeing what they got for the weekend game?

You're probably right though, my spreadsheets etc. are all dependant on the Sun's data (pre and post weekend) so some scoring anomalies are more than likely for this fixture.

There were three players in one of the other divisions that had all been done out of three points (as has Tom).

I am hoping/assuming that all 5 of you have the same player in your teams.

I cant see the picture of the team sheets from here, so will have to do my Columbo impressions tonight.

Not to worry, the result can always be amended later if found to be inaccurate,due to the Sun's scoring errors.

However, I was sorry to see that you lost money on betting that Liverpool would beat Aston Villa 2-0. I must admit I thought that was a good bet, having made exactly the same prediction myself in FPL's IKTS competition

I didn't end up betting on the score as its hard enough trying to pick who wins let alone what the score would be. But I did have liverpool in an fourfold accumulator so that blew that. Better luck this weekend with the bets. It's just with the 3 Liverpool players you had still to play i could see a clean sheet for johnson and goal each for torres and gerrard and a starman going to one of those three to win you the tie. I was lucky with that result, and I can see those three getting plenty of points most weekends
