You've managed to beat the champion elect this weekend.

In fact, he's only lost 4 games.... and two of them are against you!

Week 16

CONGRATULATIONS sdhough.
Despite losing his second game in as many weeks, he's still done enough to be crowned champions (with two games to spare).

Thanks to Arsenal4Ever's totally unexpected loss to bottom placed Hairybear, sdhough can no longer be caught.

3rd placed Zimmerman also lost this weekend. His conqueror (Crompton) leap frogs him (and Arsenal4ever) to take up 2nd place.

Next week sees the battle for 2nd really hot up.
6 teams all battling for second spot.
There's a Warrior derby as Crompton takes on Hairybear.
Faruge takes on Zimmerman.
And Arsenal4Ever takes on the newly crowned champion.

At the bottom, 3 teams all chase the 1 safety spot.

Demorgoth 22 - 47 Faruge
Crompton 39 - 17 Zimmerman
Arsenal4Ever 21 - 28 Hairybear
The Doc 26 - 20 sdhough
Zita 33 - 42 Mistercuts

Cheers - got there in the end, thought it was going down to the wire after another loss.

Many thanks again Zimm for organising this competition.

Look forward to doing battle again next season!

With the title already wrapped up, it was about the battle for runners up spot this weekend.

Crompton, Faruge and Zita all coming out vitorious.

Faruge faces the Warrior whipping boy amongst allegations that Hairybear will throw the game. Although with the shame of last place hanging over him, the proud Tim will be doing all he can to avoid defeat.

Crompton has a much tougher task. He faces the runaway champ.

Should Crompton and Faruge both come unstuck, Zita could sneak in the back door.

Week 17
Zita 11 - -1 Demorgoth
Mistercuts 35 - 9 The Doc
sdhough 33 - 18 Arsenal4Ever
Hairybear 38 - 42 Crompton
Zimmerman 13 - 52 Faruge

Final day fixtures
w/e 3rd May
Demorgoth - Zimmerman
Faruge - Hairybear
Crompton - sdhough
Arsenal4Ever - Mistercuts
The Doc - Zita

With the glory and shame already confirmed last week, it was just a case of sorting out the runners-up spot and mid-table mediocrity.

SDHough continued his title winning form (and in doing so Crompton's chances of 2nd).

The bottom 2 (Hairybear and Demorgoth) both picked up wins at the expense of Faruge and Zimmerman respectively. Faruge missing out on 2nd in the process.

In amongst all of that, Zita was able to dispose of the Doc and sneak into 2nd on goal-difference.

Congratulations Zita (and again to SDHough who won by a mile).

Week 18
Demorgoth 56 - 46 Zimmerman
Faruge 39 - 53 Hairybear
Crompton 38 - 57 sdhough
Arsenal4Ever 66 - 19 Mistercuts
The Doc 30 - 55 Zita

Next season I suggest to add a bit of fun to this league we adopt a similar thing to what the convicts are doing in the AFL DT Leagues.
Maybe a Bramble avatar would fit the bill?
