The Kerplookee game kicks off again this week, with a practice round at Torrey Pines, before starting proper next week :D

There are two games:

      1. The free game - register here

Choose 10 golfers each week from your $20m budget, with one sub allowed before the final round.

Prizes for overall winner, segment winners and weekly winners.

      2. The Pro game

This costs $44.95 (currently about £30) for the season (37 weeks), but the prizes are much better and far fewer people enter (only 40 odd entered last year).

You need to register here, then purchase your Pro Game team.

The format is slightly different. You choose 8 players, but only your final 4 will count to your final score each week. Again you are allowed one sub before the final round.

I was lucky enough to win a Callaway driver, t-shirt, golf shoes, shades and gloves last year, all of which were happily posted across to the UK :) . Man United's #1 Fan also won quite a few prizes, so it is a reliable game.

The winner of the Pro game last year won a full set of Callaway irons.

Well worth a try if you didn't play last year.

Sorry to hear that Geoff, what was it that went missing?

Mine came in about 4 or 5 different packages across the season, so hopefully your experience was a one-off.

The prizes that I won all arrived promptly from the US without any problems complete with individual covering letters. My experience with Kerplookee is very good, sorry that you can't say the same Geoff.

The rules suggest a cost of $4.95 per week no mentions of the $45 for the season - does that come later in the process?

What's the League ID? Password of 289 alone won't work and it says league ID is numbers

Give that a try Redge

Looking well worth a £30 investment to me. From the Kerplookee site:

Quote:
I thought I would start this thread to give everyone a sneak preview of the prizes as I gather them down here at the PGA Show in Orlando, Florida

First off.............CALLAWAY is back baby!!!!!! That means sets of clubs, more drivers, shoes, shirts, hats, sunglasses and much more

Oddessey putters should be on board

Frogger golf is back

Storus.com is back

Sundog is looking good and I'm confident they will be back

Tomorrow I'm working on Sky Caddie, Bridestone, Puma and Hirzl

I was just looking at possibly entering a Pro team but when I went to the link the Kerplookee site was showing a security error (certificate out of date) and the recommendation was not to progress.

Anyone else had the same problem or is it something local to me?

Just done the same to me Rubik, I've posted a message on their board, so hopefully they'll sort it out.

Kerplookee have sorted out their security certificate now, deadline is Thursday for those wishing to join in :)

Register here, then either enter the Free or Pro game.

      1. The Free game

Choose 10 golfers each week from your $20m budget, with one sub allowed before the final round.

Prizes for overall winner, segment winners and weekly winners.

FISO League ID is 289 and the password is fiso1

      2. The Pro game

This costs $44.95 (currently about £30) for the season (37 weeks), but the prizes are much better and far fewer people enter (only 40 odd entered last year).

The format is slightly different. You choose 8 players, but only your final 4 will count to your final score each week. Again you are allowed one sub before the final round.

Prizes for the first 3 each week, top 5 in each segment and I think it was the top 10 at the year end.

First prize for the Pro game is a set of clubs, so if you fancy yourself as a fantasy golfer it's well worth a punt.

Looks like there will be a few hundred entries at best, with dozens of prizes available over the 37 weeks :D

All right, all right - you've twisted my arm. Feeling a little fantasy happy today after a January monthly win in another discipline 8-)

is there a private league for the pro game setup?

Cheers

Don't seem to be able to set up a league for the Pro game (tried last night) :?

I'm sure I can do a bit of cutting and pasting each week for the FISO massive :)

Anyone else going for the Pro game?

Ah yes I see you cannot set up a private pro league. Only about 50-60 teams at the moment anyway so not too hard to track my position of bottom below you guys!

So - having never played this any tips :D - I'm guessing there are different tactics for the Pro and Free games and obviously it is key to use the waiver each week but interested on your experiences of playing all 10 vs a smaller higher quality number in the past?

That looks OK to me Britinus :?

You should choose $44.95 for the season, then

Leave team as "Create new team", then

Enter your credit card details and click on continue.

Does that not work?

Hi Shaun, did all that last week, I click on continue and comes back at me saying I haven't created new team, click on that and nothing! As I say, must be doing something odd since others have had no touble, although it does say I'm not eligible but figured that was because i hadn't signed up for pro game. Maybe not eligible for under 18's or retirees....
off to work now but will try again tonite.
