Just wondering if he's a nailed on starter until Kolo Toure gets back from the African Cup of Nations? Is anyone else considering him? Haven't quite got enough to bring in Kompany, unless I bring in Kelly from Fulham at 3.9 but I'm not 100% sure I want to do that! :? Says Kolo Toure is expected back from the African Cup of Nations on 25th of Feb and by that time I imagine I'll have enough to buy Kompany.

Its a close to nailed down as you can get until Kolo returns. Savic has been shocking and thats really the only other alternative.

Go with Clichy. He's half a million cheaper and is just as nailed on imo, because of Kolorov's drastic loss of form.

I beg to differ, that is just like saying Richards has it nailed down also. the fact of the matter is that there is only 1 defender that is a guarantee and that is Kompany. In fact he is the only player considering even Silva has been rotated once this season.

Maybe "nailed on" was a bit strong for Clichy but if you read bluemoon forum, Kolorov is getting dogs abuse lately, most fans want him sold back to Italy. With the Premier League now the holy grail, I'm taking a view that Kolorov will be frozen out ala Bridge, maybe get thrown a Europa League start or a few minutes near the end of prem games where they are chasing a goal and need a more offensive full back.

Wow I am surprised to hear that, I would want him on my squad purely for his free kicks. Maybe I will get lucky and they well sell him cheap to Chelsea as a replacement for Ashley Cole in 2 more seasons. :D

It's a toss up between blooding Bertrand or resigning Del Horno imo

Fans on internet forums calling players for everything has little bearing on their place in the team. Liverpool fans have been ragging on Adam and Downing for most of the season and they still get a game ahead of fan favourites like Maxi Rodriguez.

Means nowt.

I was just using the point about the forum to put across the general feeling about the player and his current form. Also couldn't help but see Manchini's angery reaction to his pot shots vs Liverpool in the first leg of the CC. Think the lad is fnished at coms. Maybe i'l be proved wrong.

Yes, Lescott is nailed on until Kolo gets back. I think he's worth the extra 0.5 over Clichy, who im my opinion is a slightly bigger rotation risk that Lescott even once Kolo is back, and Lescott should get more attacking points. He's due a couple of goals.

Savic ain't that bad, but I reckon Richards will play centre back this weekend.

I think that Kompany is the only Manchester City defender who won't get rotated.

I agree, I used to think the same about Richards after a good run of games but then out of nowhere Zaboletta started a game and really screwed me. No Im stuck having to waste a transfer to get rid of what would be my first choice defender thsi week if I was guaranteed he would play. Im convinced Mancini just hates the fantasy game so does what he can to screw us all!

Yer wrong - Roberto loves the fantasy concept. He simply likes making fantasy decision making more challenging and interesting.
