Oliver is currently "pimping up" Xmas dinner.

I wonder how much he charges for his wife, and what cut he gets............

I didn't want to open a new thread that's why I'm using this one.

My missus is looking for a Jamie Oliver recipe, ham with honey crust.
There are a lot of recipes on Google, but not a JO one.
Does anybody know this recipe?

Thanks a lot!

Does she mean this? Doesn't look too appetising to me unlike this or this could be tweaked or this?

Thank you, blahblah! :D :D

I forwarded your suggestions, but I think it's not exactly what she wanted.
Anyway, this could be as good as any JO recipes!
We had ham with honey crust on Saturday, and it was very nice!

I'll keep you informed!

I like Jamie Oliver - his way of cooking scrambled egg (latent heat) worked damn surprisingly well. I still cant fathom how he got the name of that mobile pub he drove in the latest program past the watchdogs. "The Coq in Cider" ie 'The Cock inside her'. Priceless.

Try some Star Annise things in it as well

I did a pork thing with it and some garlic, orange juice, garlic, chilli, soy sauce and other Chinese stuff - very pleasant.

I boiled it in star annise and bay leaves (as I bought a packet of star annise for the gravy I have a fair bit)

If you bag is big enough you can try some of these

It helps if you have a Chinese type Supermarket, where it is far cheaper than normal shops......

That is why I said "type" I got a decent sized bag of 70 odd pence. Little jars cost more than that in the normal Supermarkets.

These are good for Coriander Seeds, and the like too.

(And Nigella Seeds for watchers of The Apprentice  )

Nigella's ham in coca cola is really good if an alternative is acceptable...

Go to wikipedia and write star anis and click on German on the left hand side and .....

http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Echter_Sternanis

or vice versa, of course. It works most of the times.

Sending out the missus tomorrow to get a few of these...
