What are peoples thoughts on this guy at Sunderland? £4.5m with 6 points against City and 7 last night against Wigan. Martin O'Neill has come out with great praise for him, although they have Chelsea next they then have Swansea and Norwich following that. On the roll Sunderland are on do you think it's worth a punt?

Yes, great player in the making! Apart from the skills I have seen, which show promise, he is very energetic and full of confidence, just what a young player needs! I hope he keeps it up and yes, I am also getting him in, probably it's bye bye Nani after Bolton and in time for Sunderland at home against Swansea for McClean.

Definitely frees up money for improvements elsewhere. Worth keeping an eye on Sunderland in the transfer window too.

Would love him in, even if he will just be bench fodder for the next couple of weeks, he allows me to free up some extra cash from Moses and earn me a hefty 0.1!
No further insight from anyone on how likely it is he plays the next couple of games?

Interesting player but no one knows if he will stay in the team yet, could be pain to swap him around later.

Mclean or Sessegnon? That's the question.....

(ok, my question).

Forget where i heard it yesterday, but there was talk Sessegnon wasn't that settled and potentially might move back home.

Agree. Moses has let me down too many times this season and now I have finally made some money off him. McClean has a spot in my WC team at the moment - I really fancy Sunderland over the next couple of weeks as well.

As for the Sessegnon vs McClean - if they are both getting starts I'd personally go for the one who is 4.5! Sess has been good and is improving but they are not captain material for me anywho - having McClean allows me to bench him as well, whereas I would feel I would have to play Sess every week with his price tag.

I think that had been reported as a viscious rumour on here yesterday, with someone posting a clip from a Sunderland newspaper saying that Sess was over joyed at Sunderland.

(but similar to you, I may have imagined that too, if he isn't happy and is off, then I will go down the Mclean route, but atm I am more interested in Sess.)

Another goal and great praise from MoN, definitely a pick for me when I change it up in a week or so.

I've taken a punt on this guy with my WC. I put Sess in to start with but will take the 0.1 rise out of him tomorrow and use the profit towards someone else. He's obviously a risk but at 4.5, he's excellent value.

I'm going for MacLean BECAUSE of the Sess rise. I'm not WC'ing until next week, but Sessegnon will have gone up twice this week, and i just feel that perhaps i have missed the boat on him now....

MacLean will come in with my wildcard next week, and the spare money will go into strengthening the rest of my team.

I have one concern and that's relating to his gametime. Are there any Sunderland fans on here who have any idea as to how secure his position is? MON is obviously raving about him and his performances have been bang on, but i couldnt help but notice the sheer volume of midfielders Sunderland have at their disposal when i looked on the FPL site at the stats earlier...which gave me a slight twinge of concern with regards to how secure his starting slot is.

If anyone has any insight then i, and i guess and a lot of others would be most grateful.

I'd have thought that the fact he's now making it into the starting lineup with a new manager at the helm, and with no injuries or suspensions giving him a soft way in (unless you count larsson's late fitness failure the other day), would give some hope that he was earning and deserving the place instead of just keeping it warm for someone else.

Let's face it, he's not going to be a week-in-week-out fixture in anyone's fantasy team, so i'm happy enough to have him sitting on the bench. Tbh he's just going to replace ferguson, so he can't be any worse really can he.

Hear hear. I'm not wildcarding just yet, but when i do this guy's in my plans. Moses is my bench fodder and on the rare occasion i have played him, he's done diddly squat. Been waiting for someone the same price who's value is set to rise (and is a tad better). Perfect, he's in. Unless Tiote is donning a MU shirt in the next few weeks.
