The Jackpot League at Fantasy Stakes is now live and we have a healthy number of FISOers in the top 20, all in with the chance of winning some serious cash!

I thought I'd start off a dedicated thread for Jackpot League type discussions.

Take it away fellas - anyone fancy their chances of catching Zarch?

After a bizarre weekend of results, my average remains unchanged. (although Stakesy is aware that I don't think his abacus is working right as I've added my average up to come out at a different figure!)

A good round for me TSO indeed. If it wasn't for Rio's exclusion i'd have been 90+...... looks like Rio has done us both in recent weeks eh??

An interesting last 5 rounds ahead. What with selection headaches for all real life managers..... getting 11 players on the pitch will a bonus for FS bosses as Rafatation spreads to everyone.

As I am nowhere near the money in this, would it be rude for me to ask what people who are in the Top 20 currently stand to win? Just wondering whether it is worth pursuing more seriously next season. Just ignore me if you don't want to divulge

Thanks. I looked at how it is worked out, Zarch, but because I have varied from week to week between the £2 and £5 leagues, and quite often not entering at all, I couldn't work out how it would be turned into hard cash. Seems as though some good money can be won - but of course it means staking big money all season, too.

Its not so much staking big money Jonathan, its getting the right entries and populating your top ten. You could have played the £2 league all season, racked up some really good scores with little outlay and be sat on 1000x £2 right now.

If you're not in the top 20, does it not tell you your average stake on your Jackpot League screen?? just wondering.

I understand what you mean, Zarch.

It does still tell you your record for the Jackpot League, even if you are outside the T20 - not that you would know, of course!

My record is:
38th 69.1 £4.40 £0

I like the new Hall of Fame and Hall of Shame! I make No.26 on the one that matters!

It will be interesting to see how the game develops. I would imagine it is difficult to make such a game attractive to not only the occasional dabbler like me, but also the more serious gambler, which is where I think the Jackpot League comes in.

I think the game format is superb, and there are many ways everyone can be kept happy I reckon.

I think I'd prefer league 2 FS as I did better in the TFF version of that than the Championship though I'm sure there's a sliding scale of excitement from league 1 & 2 then the Championship then the Premiership though the media distort it slightly no doubt.

Blimey, the top 5 must all now have 80+ scores in their Jackpot League top 10. Its going to be very hard to replace those scores with only 4 rounds to go without posting monster ones in the 90's.

Where has Begbie come from? Is he a FISOer? Could be the dark horse in the remaining few weeks.

A thought..... I could publish the top 10 scores of the Jackpot League leaders if those people want (gaining permission from FISO and non-FISO members first of course).

What do you think? Would it make it more interesting or is it better to have a bit of mystery not knowing if a score makes a difference?

Entirely up to you.... :)
