Any money left in the account after the season close, will this money be attainable next season if you're up and running? or would you reccommend withdrawing it for several reasons? perhaps you could ask the people who you send the cheques too, to add the money currently in their account to their cheques and you can then withdraw it from their accounts, saves a small fee for people (i believe) and a lot easier. :D

"If you're up and running?!"

I can GUARANTEE you in big, bold capital letters that FS will be here next season. We love the game, our users appear to as well and we're already planning lots of developments for next year. We're going for Bigger and Better until the rest of the world sees the light!

Regarding accounts, FS customers are welcome to withdraw their money now or leave it in until next season. It will still be there and will still be acceptable currency!

I may have a problem withdrawing my money, as I think I will be left with less than the £2 fee to withdraw cash

Thanks chaps.

After thinking all week that it would be a "nothing" weekend with low scores i soon changed my mind when i starting putting some teams together. I could easily see the likes of RVP, Torres and the usual suspects of Kuyt, Gerrard, Lampard etc doing the business and it being pretty easy to post some 80+ scores. Hence i went mental putting in all sorts of combinations to try and keep TCF and Matt at bay.

But when i saw some of the rotation that had gone off in the lineups i think it definitely worked in my favour. Although I too had become victim to the likes of Lampard, Arbeloa, Fabianski, Elano to name but a few along with early baths for Gerrard and others taking in an end of season standing ovation.

It was nice to pick up 9 out of the 20 money places in the £5 league too! It looked like TCF did the same in the £2 as well.

Final Jackpot League Table Update

1 Zarch 90.3
2 matt_toby 89.7
3 TheCharltonFan 89.5
4 Begbie 88.0
5 thespecialone 87.9
6 fresh1964 86.6

8 Anthill Mob 84.8
9 chrisharry_12345 83.0
10 jake02 81.4
11 nickchild 81.0
12 stever78 80.9
13 PNE4EVER 80.5 (+0.4)
14 shearer 78.9 (+0.4) - Up 1 Place
15 clemo23 78.6 - Down 1 Place
16 eezergoode 77.8
16 Ian Melluish 77.8
18 c.sativa 77.5
19 Bcu Bandit 77.2 (new entry)
19 richseas 77.2 - Down 1 place

Only minor changes due to a relative low scoring round.

Congratulations to all the winners, its been a hell of a frenzied last month or so to secure those big money places. Its totally shredded my nerves, but i think all the hard work has been worth it!

Mrs.Zarch will now get the dining room wall knocked down the new kitchen that she craves!
And i'll be able to pay for my Wednesday season ticket...... lol, both of us happy!! :?

Who knows what guise the Jackpot League will take next season or the restrictions put in place by Stakesy, but i hope to be around to try and defend my title. Hell, its nice to be able to finally put something positive in the "FS Record" field on my FISO profile.

Have a good summer all.

£5500 from the Jackpot League and about £300 up on the account from general play. Not a bad season from an initial £30 deposit in October (started at Round 9)!

Could've probably got a return if I put those teams in the other £2 unlimited. The protection was with the game organisers as the elusive £30k didn't happen yet still quite a high payout to Zarch and Matt.

Blimey. Serious money being won there. Well done to those involved, but I guess there was some serious money that needed to be gambled, too. To be honest, I may be rethinking having more of a go at it next season because there is no way I will be throwing the kind of money at this game that some of you have.

I will of course still be taking part, but the lure of the Jackpot League will have to be left for others to enjoy.

Just wondering one thing. While it was obvious the last few weeks that the top 4 or 5 were putting loads and loads of teams in, and of course spending loads and loads of cash, how were those in the lower places affected by this? For an example, if I had merrily gone along all season, sticking in 4 or 5 teams a week, and found myself mid-table in the Jackpot League, with 6 weeks left, but was only ever prepared to still keep to my 4 or 5 teams, would my hard work for the season have been to no avail?

Anyway. Well done.

I think you are missing a trick though, Stakesy, by not publicising what those in the JL have actually won. Could certainly suck a few more people in next season if they knew what was possible with a decent outlay.

Jonathan,

I think this season's finale has shown a definite issue with regard the Jackpot League. Granted, Stakesy was probably loving all the extra entries from myself, Matt T and TCF, but it was ruining the game for everyone else. Something has to change as previously discussed.

But with your question about the lower places below the top 3 being affected, well i can't recall any of Begbie, thespecialone, fresh1964, bloggie, Anthill Mob, chrisharry_12345 or jake02 (the rest of the top 10) doing anything else that put their usual number of entries in. And even within the swarm of entries from the top 3, I still saw these players getting in the money and improving their averages in the last month or so.

It just shows you don't have to put 20 teams in to be able to post a good score. Yes, it helps as you get more chances, but with 5 entries a week you can still do it. I wouldn't be so disheartened about next season. Up until the last month or so I was only putting between 3 and 10 entries in per week and reached the top of the JL.

Quality not quantity!

And hopefully with entry restrictions next season this will prove to be the case.

OK, Zarch. That answers my query, really. We (or me) of course need to remember that the game needs to make money, and in order to be able to have statements such as "win £50,000" the revenue needs to be there - which is where the multi-teamers come in, and I would probably understand that Stakesy and his team would rather be concentrating on those prepared to spend hundreds, rather than little old me who winces at x2 £2.40 each week! I have a sneaky feeling though, that we are all seen as equally important by those at FS, which is great.

But, the format does seem to be quite flexible and if the facility is there to please all of us, then that is great. But if the same kind of scenario happens towards the end of next season, I won't be putting in just one or two teams, when I know that several others have virtually every possible combination going to win the money.

That said, 10 x my average £3.50 stake wasn't exactly a life changing amount, anyway! I am just glad I had my "big" win courtesy of Darren Bent way back in November!

Wooooooh, got an email asking to confirm the address where I want my Jackpot League cheque sending too. Once all addresses are verified, the cheques will be sent out, hopefully first week in June they say!

Patience dear Zarch! As stated in the last e-mail, we need to collect all user details to make sure all the right people get all the right amounts and necessarily in the right order! 8-)

There will be a follow up e-mail coming from support in the next day or so. We're still missing a couple of bits of information, assuming that all comes through now I would expect cheques to be sent out early next week at the latest.

Patience? I'm not big on that Stakesy!

Okay, I will wait on Mr.Support to get in touch...... Last week I asked Mr.Support if he was Stakesy, he said NO, Stakesy is Stakesy!! What a curious bunch you are at Fantasy Stakes.

I fully intend to get to the bottom of "Who is Stakesy?"

Mr.Support, Mr.Stakesy...... do you have a Mr.Brown and a Mr.Pink in FS Towers too?

Dear Jackpot League maestros!

Thanks to all those of you who responded to confirm your address details and the name we need to write on your cheque! We're still waiting on a couple of people to respond (you know who you are!), so please make sure we have this information by the end of the week.

Assuming all goes to plan, we will be sending the cheques out by recorded delivery early next week.
